Happy hump day, and hopefully no one ate too much candy last night. If so, not to worry because the NBA has a night full of treats, thirteen games tip-off tonight! That is one the biggest game slates you will see in the NBA, with only four teams not playing. They begin at 7:10 PM ET with an Eastern Conference showdown between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors and it is wrapped up with an all-Los Angeles battle between the Clippers and Lakers beginning at 10:10 PM ET. However, when looking at the best bets of the NBA tonight, it is the games in the middle that draw the most attention. An Eastern Conference showdown, the Brooklyn Nets travel to South Beach, to play the Miami Heat. In an intra-conference matchup, the Chicago Bulls travel to the Dallas Mavericks and face Luka Doncic who has the highest points per game average in the NBA. Arguably the best game of the night is a Northwest Divisional rivalry featuring the NBA defending champion, Denver Nuggets traveling to the Minnesota Timberwolves. A little bit of something for everyone with a look at a straight bet, prop, and a same-game parlay.

NBA Best Bets & Player Props November 1

NBA Bet of the Night

Dallas Mavericks Moneyline (-190 BetMGM)

The Dallas Mavericks are hosting the Chicago Bulls, who are coming off of an impressive victory against the Indiana Pacers. The Mavericks are one of three undefeated teams remaining after just one week of the NBA, a competitive league no doubt. Luka Doncic is usually a player that starts off slow, but he is in mid-season form. Luka is one assist shy of averaging a triple-double for the season, and is the points-per-game leader of the association. In addition to that he has 35 rebounds in three games, is shooting 55.6% from the field, and made 18 of 37 three-point attempts. Those are ridiculous stats for anyone, but especially someone listed as a point guard. The Chicago Bulls will not have an answer for him defensively, not that many teams do, but they can score points at will. DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine are capable of big scoring nights, and that is why they are perennial all-stars. Dallas is averaging 20 points per game more than the Bulls, have more rebounds and assists, and shoot over ten percent better from the three point line. Dallas is 3-0 for the first time since 2004-05, and should win tonight.

NBA Player Prop of the Night

Michael Porter Jr., Denver Nuggets – OVER 6.5 Rebounds (+110 DK)

MPJ has gone over this stat in three of his four games this season. He was in foul trouble early against the Utah Jazz, and appeared flustered throughout the game. He only played 18 minutes, and perhaps it was the back-to-back games, perhaps it was the officiating, but those will not be the factors in tonight’s game. The Minnesota TimberwolvesRudy Gobert is a great rebounder and Karl Anthony Towns (KAT) is a big man capable of grabbing several boards, but so is Michael Porter Jr. This is a rivalry that few are aware of, and the Minnesota Timberwolves were able to get one of four wins against the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs. This will be an intense game with great defensive play, and that should favor MPJ to grab even more rebounds. This is the tightest moneyline set for the Nuggets this season with -140 on MGM.. Trust MPJ to be the elite professional he is and return back with a good mindset and great effort… Plus money for a prop that has a 75% percent success rate is rarely a bad idea.

NBA Same Game Parlay

Miami Heat -2.5, Ben Simmons OVER 7.5 Rebounds, Total OVER 213.5 (+322 DK) – 0.4 Unit

DraftKings is offering a 50% boost for a same-game parlay on the NBA today. It does have a max limit that could be lower or higher than your unit, so bet accordingly. The Miami Heat are playing the Brooklyn Nets tonight and neither team has a winning record. The Heat did finish a three-game road trip, including the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks who most consider to be in the top five teams of the NBA. They are 1-0 at home, they are rested, and ready to play. The Brooklyn Nets will be without Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton while Spencer Dinwiddie is doubtful. That is three starters for the Nets out, and although Bam Adebayo is probable and Jimmy Butler is questionable, they are expected to play. This tilts the field in a huge advantage for the Heat and the spread will likely jump from -5.5, which it currently is.

Ben Simmons has 10 rebounds in all three games this season, and with Nic Claxton and Cam Johnson both being out, he should reach double digits again. There has been a lot of shade thrown towards Ben Simmons throughout his career, but no one has ever doubted his rebounding skills. Eight rebounds is more than achievable. The third leg was the lowest alternate total offered at 213.5 points. The reason is simple; A) three legs were needed for the boost to be activated. B) In the Nets' three games this season the totals have been 227, 245, and 254. 214 points should be well within grasp for these teams.
