Isaiah Stewart was a late scratch for the Detroit Pistons, who rallied around Jalen Duren and his double double performance. He easily earned over 10.5 rebounds with Stewart out of the lineup. The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers put up another outstanding game that went to the last field goal attempt. 

Despite committing 20 turnovers, and missing eight free throws, Denver only lost by three points. Kawhi Leonard put on one of the best performances as a Los Angeles Clipper, as he easily worked his way down to his favorite spots on the court. He went on to score 39 points with 15 of 19 field goals made.

 

 

 

Russell Westbrook came in and earned 2 rebounds in his first minutes but could not get off his rebounding hook late in the game, proving detrimental to our NBA predictions. He was still a factor, making two three-point field goals late in the game.

He had just 9 points and 4 rebounds in 21 minutes in game one. If this game is competitive Lopez should play closer to his season average of 31.8 minutes per game.

He is erratic with his rebounding, and teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best rebounders in the league, but Lopez is more than capable of earning 5 rebounds. In fact it is his season average, 5.0 rebounds per game, and he has recorded 5 or more rebounds in three of his last six matches.

Grizzlies vs. Thunder Prediction: Total Under 228.5 (-110 on Bet365)

The Memphis Grizzlies look to improve on their last performance at the Paycom Center but are better rested for this match. Jaren Jackson and Zach Edey will have to improve on their scoring as they each only scored four points. Marvin Bagley cannot be the highest scorer for the Grizzlies if they are going to have a chance to win the game.

Ja Morant is an elite scorer and will be much better tonight. They will also need to play much better defense as it takes awful offense and a lack of defense to lose by 51 points. As great as the Oklahoma City Thunder are offensively, their defense is what allowed them to win by such a large margin. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be pressed and double-teamed once again, and the role players of the Thunder may not have the same success they did in game one. With the Grizzlies expected to be better offensively, the Thunder are expected to be worse offensively. Both teams should play with a defensive mindset in game two.

Reid is a game changer, and it is due to him that Minnesota felt comfortable trading away Karl-Anthony Towns. Reid played 31 minutes in game one, and could be around thirty again as the Lakers have no answer for covering him while stopping Anthony Edwards. Reid is too big to stop down low, and they have no one that can defend him from the perimeter.
