Chris Sale Sleeper Fantasy Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
Sale has an elite matchup today against an Oakland Athletics team that ranks towards the bottom of the league in most categories against left-handed pitching.
They now draw a matchup against a Cy Young contender in Sale who is looking as good as he has since the Red Sox won the World Series.
Sale hasn’t allowed more than 1.5 earned runs in six straight starts.
- Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
Robert Gasser Sleeper Fantasy Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
Speaking of bad teams against lefties, the White Sox actually rank dead last in wOBA and batting average against left-handed pitching while being a bottom three team in ISO.
Gasser is coming off a shutout performance against the Cubs and in three of his four starts this season he has allowed fewer than 1.5 earned runs.
- Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
Kyle Bradish Sleeper Fantasy Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
O’s starter Kyle Bradish draws a start against the Tampa Bay Rays today. Bradish is coming off seven no-hit innings against the White Sox in his last start and on the year he has allowed less than 1.5 earned runs in four of his five starts this season.
The Rays offense has struggled this year, especially against right-handed pitching.
I’m looking for another strong start for the Baltimore righty today.
- Pick: Less Than 1.5 Earned Runs
Total Multiplier: 6.74x

Player News
According to the MLB transactions page, Francisco Alvarez (hand) has had his rehab assignment moved up to Double-A.
Alvarez went just 1-for-10 in three games with Low-A St. Lucie, but he stayed healthy and caught 20 innings, and that’s all that matters. He’ll get in a few rehab games at Double-A, and then the Mets will decide if they want to activate him or give him some time at Triple-A.
Blue Jays OF prospect Jonatan Clase is tied for sixth in the International League with six steals and 11th in OPS through 12 games.
It’s been a really strong start for Clase, who is slashing .382/.523/.411 in 34 at-bats. He has walked nine times and struck out seven on the season, which has led to his superb on-base percentage, and he’s making those trips on the bases count with six steals. The issue is that he’s currently blocked by Myles Straw and Daulton Varsho (shoulder) is nearing a return to Toronto as well, which will make it hard for Clase to find a spot on the MLB roster.
Twins signed RHP Tyler Beede to a minor league deal and assigned him to Triple-A St. Paul.
Beede made 13 appearances for Cleveland in 2024, allowing 13 earned runs on 16 hits in 14 innings while striking out 18 and walking nine. He has reportedly been working out at the Lion’s Den, a baseball training facility in Houston, and working out for MLB scouts. He has shifted primarily to a bullpen role since 2019 and could eventually pitch himself into some big league innings this season.
Rays activated INF/OF prospect Tre’ Morgan from the injured list and assigned him to Triple-A Durham.
Morgan, the 90th-ranked overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline and the Rays’ 4th-ranked prospect, suffered a quad injury in the spring and was sent to minor league camp in early March. The 22-year-old hit .324/.408/.483 with 10 home runs and 20 steals in 100 games between High-A and Double-A last year. The Rays have played him at first base and both corner outfield spots, and he should spend most of the 2025 season at Triple-A.
Hunter Goodman hit a two-run homer in a loss Monday to the Rockies.
Goodman got the Rockies back into the game with a two-run homer off Anthony Benda to make it 5-3. The 25-year-old has shown some solid pop with four homers and a .468 slugging percentage over 51 at-bats, but he’s essentially a one-category player for fantasy purposes.
Mookie Betts scored twice and hit a two-run homer in a win over the Rockies on Monday.
