Braves vs. Dodgers Predictions, Picks, Odds & Starting Pitchers: Today, 3/31

Following a series against the San Diego Padres, the Atlanta Braves are right back in action against another NL West team - the Los Angeles Dodgers. Although it’s a short road trip, it’s no small task to take down the defending World Series champs, and we’ve got our Braves vs. Dodgers predictions for the matchup.
With the matchup also featured on FanDuel Sports Network, we’ll also pair the best bet from our Braves vs. Dodgers picks with a $200 FanDuel Sportsbook welcome bonus.
Braves vs. Dodgers Predictions For MLB On FanDuel Sports Network, 3/31
The Braves were also featured in the very first FanDuel Sports Network game of the season back on Friday against the Padres. Given that the entire series was a rough one for Atlanta overall, it’s no surprise that it was a loss for them.
Being forced to face the defending champs to try and bounce back from that series is a tall task, but the Braves do have a lineup that can compete. However, there is still the concern regarding their rotation. It’s one that no longer features lefty Max Fried and has Spencer Strider on the injured list.
While they did acquire ace Chris Sale, he isn’t scheduled back on the mound until tomorrow after getting the start on Opening Day. With the Dodgers starting Tyler Glasnow, the Braves vs. Dodgers odds have LA as significant favorites tonight.
Atlanta Braves: From The Bullpen To The Starter
If you saw the listed starting pitcher for the Braves tonight and thought it was a guy you’ve already seen, that’s because you have! Grant Holmes came in relief on Opening Day for one inning in which he did his job by striking out two and preventing the Padres from pouring it on in their 7-4 win.
While that was the case, this is still just about the last option for the Braves rotation. The 29-year-old finally broke into the scene last year with seven starts for Atlanta, and while he had 70 strikeouts, that was across all appearances, including those in relief, which were the vast majority of his action.
Los Angeles Dodgers: Glasnow Finally Gets To Go
Don’t be fooled by the fact that at this point we’re largely seeing the tail end of the rotation for teams, and therefore, those that would be considered far from aces. For many teams, Tyler Glasnow would be first in their rotation, and the Dodgers season is unlike that of the Braves.
Don’t forget that LA actually started the 2025 MLB season two weeks ago in Japan, so their rotation has been all over the place. That, paired with Shohei Ohtani still returning from injury so that he can pitch again, Glasnow is just now getting his first start of the season. Of course, that’s a major factor in where we’re locking in the best bet from our Braves vs. Dodgers predictions.

Braves vs. Dodgers Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines
Something else that we also shared was LA being heavy favorites tonight, and you can see that latest Braves vs. Dodgers odds at FanDuel Sportsbook here:
- Run Line: Atlanta Braves +1.5 (-118) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (-102)
- Money Line: Atlanta Braves (+180) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (-218)
- Game Total (Over/Under): Over 8 (-112) vs. Under 8.5 (-108)
Braves vs. Dodgers Best Bet: Tyler Glasnow Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-125 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
After seeing the Dodgers sweep the Detroit Tigers to begin the season (well, after also sweeping the Chicago Cubs in Japan), AND having a day off yesterday, it’s difficult to imagine anything but an LA victory.
While such an expensive money line would virtually never be what we’d share as best bet quality, it’s still one that we’d suggest taking tonight. We’ll get further into why that is with how today’s FanDuel sign up bonus works, but along with backing the Dodgers to win, you could also take Glasnow to go over his strikeout total.
In fact, perhaps LA’s money line paired with an alternative total of Glasnow’s strikeout total as a Same Game Parlay at FanDuel could be the best possible Braves vs. Dodgers picks. Regardless of how you end up approaching things, we’ve got Glasnow facing a team that he’s had success against.
Just last season, Glasnow led the Dodgers to a dominant 11-2 win over Atlanta, which was a game that he recorded an impressive 10 strikeouts. That was no outlier, either. In each of his last three starts against the Braves, Glasnow has averaged nine strikeouts per game.
This is also a Braves lineup that is nearly identical to last season, and they struck out the seventh-most times last year. Hopefully we’ve given enough suggestions for options, but for top value, we’ll make the best bet from our Braves vs. Dodgers predictions on Tyler Glasnow over 6.5 strikeouts (-125 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
Braves vs. Dodgers Injury Report & Starting Pitchers
While the Braves lineup is nearly the same as last season, they once again are dealing with Ronald Acuna starting the season on the injured list. That stacked on top of the Spencer Strider injury has seen Atlanta slow out of the gates.
For the Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani continues to be focused on hitting while he’ll eventually get back to the mound, but it will be quite some time before we see Clayton Kershaw toe the rubber again. For the Braves vs. Dodgers starters today…
- Atlanta Braves starting pitcher today: Grant Holmes (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
- Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher today: Tyler Glasnow (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
