Welcome in to Friday on the MLB Best Bets and the 2nd to last Friday of the MLB regular season at that! It's been an awesome season for this article as things really turned around in the second half of the season. The bankroll has reached a new record total for the season because of that and the record has done nothing but climb. In today's edition of the best bets I have highlighted a pitcher prop, game total and player prop to keep an eye on, of which all of them I very much like to cash. Enjoy the almost weekend and the baseball games tonight everyone and see you all back here tomorrow for another edition of MLB Bets.

MLB Best Bets for September 22
Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers
What an absolutley pivotal series starting tonight for the Mariners and Rangers as each team has their eyes on winning the tightly contested AL West crown! Each team is a half game back of the Astros right now but this series could very well determine playoff standing with just 10 games left in the season. This series will be high drama and tonight should feature that as well with two very good pitchers on the mound as Dane Dunning starts for the Rangers and Bryce Miller for the Mariners. This game is just too close to call from a Money Line standpoint but I want action in games that matter and that has me looking at a strikeout prop. The Mariners strikeout 10.24 times per game on the road this season, the 3rd highest rate in the MLB. That puts Dunning in play with his prop of 5.5 Ks for the game, while Dunning isn't normally a huge strikeout guy I think this number is just too low. Its not like he hasn't topped 6 strikeouts all season either as he has racked up 59 strikeout over his last 49.2 innings pitched so give me the over on this prop while I grab my popcorn for this potentially dazzling series.
Pick: Dane Dunning Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+110 on PointsBet)
Chicago White Sox at Boston Red Sox
Its the battle of the Sox tonight as the White Sox head to Boston to take on the Red Sox. Let's take a moment to think about how strange it is that a team name is an article of clothing in the year of 2023. I know they are classic teams but objectively its kind of funny, especially when they play each other. Back to the stats though here as Boston at home has been a staple of offense all season long and that's reflected by the fact that they have scored 5.21 runs per game at home on average. That number is the 6th highest in the MLB this season and I don't see them slowing down against Touki Toussaint with his ERA of 5.4. This matchup makes me want to just take the Red Sox side of the scoring but their line is 5.5 runs and that's a bit much so I will just take the game total instead and hit over 9. Part of the reason I am fine with this switch is because Chris Sale is starting for Boston and he's not all that good either. The Red Sox have also gone over in 54.3% of their games this season, time to continue that trend.
Pick: White Sox & Red Sox Over 9 Runs (-110 on BetMGM)
Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals
Last wager of today's MLB Best Bets right here and I am going to keep things simple with a player prop for one of these Braves bats. Austin Riley has had a fantastic season hitting .279 with 36 home runs in the heart of the Braves lineup all season and I see that success contiuing tonight against the Nationals and Patrick Corbin. Corbin is of course a left handed pitcher and that makes the matchup great for Riley as he has a OPS of .915 against lefties this season and has had huge games against Washington in the past. He will be hitting 3rd tonight behind some of the games best bats and his prop of 2.5 hits, runs and RBIs is more than fair given he has gone over this total in 5 of the last 7 games. Plus money on the wager doesn't hurt either so lets go with Riley to have a day!
Pick: Austin Riley Over 2.5 Hits/Runs/RBIs (+105 on DraftKings)
**all bets are one unit unless specifically mentioned.
