Tre Mason
Player News
Tre Mason has been arrested in Florida as a result of an ATV incident that occurred in July, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Mason had an incident in July involving ATV's in a park. It was said that he was "tearing the place up" before he fleed the scene. There was an arrest warrent issued last month and finally Mason was picked up by police on Tuesday. He spent less than an hour in jail before posting $5,000 bond. This is not a really serious issue but this is just one in a long line of problems for the running back over the past year.
Rams list Tre Mason on the did not report list as training camp opened.
According to a statement made by Head Coach Jeff Fisher at the opening day of Rams training camp, the running back hasn't been in contact with the team or his teammates this offseason and is only communicating every so often through is agent. Eyebrows started to raise as it was discovered that the police had been called to his house five times since March 28th and that his family was concerned for his mental state. The Rams listed him on the did not report list in order to remove him from the 90-man roster so they can at least see another play at camp and make a decision about Mason when the time comes. He is not expected to have a major role in the offense this year with Todd Gurley getting the vast bulk of the carries so whether he shows up or not, he's not really a fantasy asset.
Tre Mason’s family is worried about his mental state after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to his house five times since March 28.
In the past four months, Mason has been spiraling out of control. He has been involved with the police on five separate occasions over that time. Just this last Saturday, multiple units were called to Mason's home in the middle of the afternoon. We all hope that he can get the help he needs. There is very little chance that he will be on the Week 1 roster.
Rams are not sure if Tre Mason will be on the roster for training camp.
Mason was viewed as a big time piece of the Rams roster just a few seasons ago, but things have changed greatly. He is now firmly behind Todd Gurley on the depth chart and his poor performance last season certainly didn't help his standing with the team.
