Joseph Randle

Randle was already awaiting resolution of two prior felony charges, and now has collected a third for criminal threat, whatever that is. He is going to have issues under the NFL personal conduct clause under the CBA even if by some miracle he avoids prison time for these three felonies. Needless to say, do not put him on your draft list for the 2016 NFL fantasy season.

News broke Sunday of Randle's arrest but the exact charges and situation was unknown at the time but have know come into sharper focus. He was, according to the police report, asked to leave a housewarming party and in the process hit the two owners and a third person with his car and then returned later in the day to break in through the front door. The three charges, aggravated battery, drug possession (he had marijuana on him), and criminal damage to property will ensure that his NFL playing days are over as this is now the fifth arrest for him in 17 months.

This is just the latest in what has become a growing list of legal troubles for former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle. Randle, who opened the year as the Cowboys starting RB but was later released midway through the season, has now been arrested five times since October 2014, when he was first arrested for shoplifting. At this rate, it's extremely unlikely Randle will find a new home in the NFL for this upcoming season.

Randle wasn't particularly likely to sign with a team before, and if this report is correct, he is likely done in the NFL. Even if Randle does sign with a team, he will likely face discipline for his gambling as well as his latest arrest.
