James Starks

Green Bay Packers - RB

James Starks (concussion) is out for Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

Starks has been sidelined for over a month due to a concussion and it appears as though he has not passed the league's concussion protocol and will not play against the Falcons. Even when healthy, Starks hasn't had a large role in the Packers offense, so on Sunday we should see a combination of Ty Montgomery, Aaron Ripkowski, and Christine Michael.

James Starks (concussion) did not practice on Thursday.

Starks hasn't played since Week 14 with the concussion and it doesn't look like he's anywhere close to playing as of yet either. Ty Montgomery and Christine Michael have taken the majority of the snaps out of the backfield for the last several weeks and even if Starks is healthy enough to play against the Falcons, there are likely very little, if any, snaps for Starks out of the backfield.

James Starks (concussion) doesn't practice Wednesday.

Starks hasn't played since Week 16 so it's not surprising to see him being rushed back. Ty Montgomery has done a fantastic job in the back-field giving Aaron Rodgers a perfect pass-catching back to be able to throw too. Look for Montgomery rather than Starks for the remainder of the playoffs.

James Starks (concussion) is not practicing on Wednesday.

Starks is still going through the league's concussion protocol after he suffered a concussion in a car accident and he wasn't spotted at practice today, which is a bad sign for his availability. In the playoffs it's normally all hands on deck but if Starks can't get in a full practice in the next couple of days he will likely sit against the Cowboys.
