Player News
Carl Landry has been waived by the 76ers.
The 32 year-old NBA veteran was stuck in a crowded front-court with the 76ers, so the fact that they cut him does not come as a major surprise. Landry, who has been battling back injuries lately, played in 36 games for the 76ers last season, averaging 9.8 points in 15.8 minutes per game. Landry could certainly sign with another team now that he is a free agent.
Carl Landry will not play Tuesday.
His back has cost him three games in a row now and could force him to miss the final game of the year on Wednesday with no days off in between. Elton Brand is the bench player set to get Landry's minutes but there shouldn't be many left after Nerlens Noel and Jerami Grant will get all they can handle.
Carl Landry (back) will not play against the Bucks on Sunday.
After working his way into the rotation, the Sixers power forward will miss a second straight game. Carl Landry will not play on Sunday against Milwaukee. This should open the door for Nerlens Noel to start and play the majority of minutes. Noel responded with 17 points and 10 rebounds on Friday night.
Carl Landry (back) will not play Friday.
Add another Philadelphia player to the inactive list. Carl Landry will not play on Friday due to a back injury. Landry has averaged 17.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists over the last five games for the Sixers and the team will scramble to fill his role on Friday night.
