We have a solid six-game NHL slate to close out the week and we should be in for a higher-scoring slate.

There are seven teams on the slate with implied team totals of 3.3 or higher, setting us up for some barn burners tonight.

NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, December 6th

I think this is going to be a super fun slate for a variety of reasons. As noted above, we should see a ton of scoring and that's simply great for fantasy production all around.

Next up, the New Jersey Devils have been flying on offense and are always capable of dropping five goals. Then, we have the disarray from the New York Rangers, who are up against the surging Pittsburgh Penguins

NHL DFS Pick'em Picks On Sleeper Fantasy

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's the approach we can take with the great Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has 30 shots on goal over his last 10 games and is now up against a reeling Rangers' lineup, that has allowed 63.48 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations over the last two weeks, which is the third-most in the league.

Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils have been on fire in recent games and that is reflected in him posting 15 total points and 33 shots on goal over the last 10 games. The Devils come in with a slate-high 4.1 implied goal total against the Seattle Kraken, so it seems natural to take the Devils' best player to pick up a few points.

John Carlson has been solid on the blue line for the Washington Capitals for over a decade and with Alex Ovechkin still out of the lineup, the Capitals need a bit more offense from everyone else. No one player will replace what Ovi brings to the table but a bit more from multiple players can be the answer. Carlson is doing his part with 30 shots on goal over the last 10 games, a rate we've seen him at for many seasons.

Friday Salary Cap DFS Picks

Goalie Of The Day: Filip Gustavsson - MIN

Filip Gustavsson has been great for the Minnesota Wild this season and he has a solid matchup against the Anaheim Ducks to continue that trend. Gustavsson is also just a touch less expensive compared to Jakob Markstrom of the New Jersey Devils, who is also a solid option tonight.

Gustavsson has allowed three goals or fewer in 10 straight games, with eight of those games being at two goals or no goals allowed. The matchup versus the Ducks is an easy one since they come in scoring just 2.06 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations this season, which is the fifth-lowest in the league.

Gustavsson coming away with the win and only allowing one or two goals is very reasonable tonight.

Play Of The Day: Kirill Kaprizov - MIN

Kirill Kaprizov has been on fire all season and is an elite option on each and every slate. He comes in with 11 points, 31 shots on goal, and 5 blocked shots over his last 10 games.

While Lukas Dostal has been solid overall for the Ducks this season, they're still a bad defensive team and we can look to target them when they are on the slate. Over the last two weeks, the Ducks have allowed 2.84 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the 10th worst in the league.

Kaprizov has multi-point potential tonight and can help anchor your lineup.

Value Play Of The Day: Conor Garland - VAN

Conor Garland and the Vancouver Canucks have a solid 3.7 implied goal total against the Columbus Blue Jackets, which should be a solid DFS game to target.

This season, the Blue Jackets allow 2.74 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the sixth-worst in the league. Add in the 29th-ranked penalty kill (72.0%), and the Blue Jackets are always primed to give up goals left and right.

Garland has been cooking lately with 4 goals, 7 assists, 28 shots on goal, and 4 blocked shots in his last 10 games. With time on the second forward line and the first power-play unit, he's a clear value option tonight.

Stack Of The Day: NJ PP1 (Jack Hughes, Jesper Bratt, Dougie Hamilton, Nico Hischier)

The New Jersey Devils have a slate-high 4.1 implied goal total and they're simply too good right now to pass up. I want to start this stack with Jack Hughes, Jesper Bratt, and Dougie Hamilton, with Nico Hischier being the last option only if you have the salary available.

Hughes and Bratt skate on the second forward line together, so getting that full correlation is always a great thing. Hischier is always a great option but he's up on the first forward line. If you want to bypass Hamilton and go straight to Hischier, there's nothing wrong with that either.

The offense is flowing with the Devils in their last 10 games, as Hughes has 15 points, Bratt has 16, Hischier has 11, and Hamilton has 9 points. There's really no wrong way to stack them tonight.
