Welcome back for another NHL Playbook! We have a nice five-game slate to focus on with some teams playing the tail end of back-to-backs.

There is some good value to target and some goalies in good spots to produce. Let’s dig right into the action and see who we need to keep an eye on.

NHL Pick 'Em At Underdog Today

Before we get into DFS, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Underdog. There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option.

Underdog NHL Picks, Sunday, November 2nd:

Connor McMichael has 19 shots on goal in the last three games. I don’t know how we are getting him at 1.5 but we will certainly take it.

Kirill Kaprizov has an assist in all but one game this season. He is racking up points and no one is going to slow him down. I expect him to have one before the first period even ends.

Alex Vlasic is blocking three or more shots per game on the road, which isn’t surprising considering how terrible the Blackhawks are on the road. Anaheim doesn’t shoot the puck a ton but this is still a good spot for Vlasic.

SALARY CAP DFS

Goalie Of The Day: Lukas Dostal - ANA

Lukas Dostal is elite and I won’t let anyone tell me otherwise. He has given up just three goals in his last two games on 87 shots. He is seeing a ton of rubber but the puck isn’t ending up in the back of the net. Chicago isn’t a very good team and they are horrendous on the road. There’s no reason for Dostal to not pick up a win tonight.

Play Of The Day: Kirill Kaprizov - MIN

You can’t slow down Kirill Kaprizov and no one has been able to contain him. The Russian winger has 21 points in ten games, including three points in back-to-back games. He’s just so good at scoring and racking up points. He’s averaging 19.9 fantasy points per game on DraftKings, so there’s no reason to not want to spend up for him.

Value Play Of The Day: Connor McMichael - WSH

As you may have noticed, I’m a very big fan of Connor McMichael tonight. He has four goals in the last three games and is just shooting the puck a ton. The shot volume will come down, but he is in a great spot to hit value without having to register a point.

Stack Of The Day - TOR PP1 (Auston Matthews - William Nylander - Mitch Marner)

The Toronto Maple Leafs have the worst power play in the NHL, so why are we stacking their top unit? For starters, their power play is too good to be this bad. They are going to figure it out and it could explode in this game. Minnesota is 30th on the penalty kill, operating at just 66.7%. If you’re going to take a chance on a stack in a GPP, this is the one to take.
