Blackhawks vs. Golden Knights Prediction: Tuesday, April 16

This late in the season, some teams can be hard to pin down. But with Vegas, I think they have full motivation to win this game. If they win tonight, they could avoid the top-seeded Dallas Stars and I think that’s a great plan as they don’t match up well with them. They are also at home and have played well there all season long with a record of 26-11-2. 

Another reason to love Vegas tonight is the opponent in Chicago, who is just dreadful as the 2nd worst team in the league by the standings. They are 7-31-1 on the road this season and 12-27 ATS in total. Just an awful team with nothing to do but tank, so let’s ride Vegas on the puck line as those are the only NHL odds that can really be wagered on today. 

 

 

 

Capitals vs. Flyers Prediction: Tuesday, April 16

The Capitals are in ‘win and get in’ mode tonight, while the Flyers must win and need some help to reach the postseason. Either way, the season is on the line tonight in what should be a fun game. 

There is an angle in this game to wager on as well as the Capitals are a bit better than the Flyers. Philly has been one of the NHL’s worst teams down the stretch and the Capitals are winners of their last pair of games. I just don’t see Washington dropping this game and I fully expect Charlie Lindgren to start again tonight after shutting out the Bruins yesterday. 

The Flyers will start Samuel Ersson who has had a tough stretch these last couple of months with a 2.86 GAA and .890 SV%, so the advantage is heavy on the Caps for goaltenders. Up front, Washington stacks up better too with a streaking Alex Ovechkin lighting the lamp like crazy the past few weeks. Give me the Capitals to win as underdogs tonight and clinch the final playoff spot in the East to finalize my NHL best bets today.
