In the great words of Jordan Belfort in the Wolf of Wall Street, “we’re not leaving!” After a critical win in Game 5 for the Oilers, I am here once again for another NHL best bets and props article, and I could not be more pleased about it! 

I feel the tension in Florida all the way in my house here in Virginia, and I expect anything could happen. So, once again, I am going to stick with the player props as they’ve been cashing in big time!

Oilers vs. Panthers Prediction: Game 6, June 21st

The Oilers have done what they’ve set out to do so far: stave off elimination and get back to the home barn in Edmonton for Game 6. But now, they’ve got to win the damn thing! I love the way they are playing right now though and while the goals are flowing, they are getting outshot and that leads my NHL best bets to props for tonight. 

The first one is on Florida goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and his saves as he was pulled in Game 4 and looked like hell in Game 5. Between those pair of performances, he stopped just 30 total shots, yet his prop number tonight is 25.5. I see multiple ways he falls short of that number, the first being the Panthers going back to their defense first ways that won them the opening 3 games in the series and limiting shots. 

The next avenue of victory is that his leash is short tonight, and his poor play keeps him rattled and he leaves the game early again. Both are just as feasible to me, so give the under for sure there. The second prop is on Matthew Tkachuk who has been heavily involved in every game this series and has collected 15 shots on goal. 

The books still haven’t bumped up his number from 2.5, which is fine as it’s cashed many times this postseason, but it means we will have to eat some chalk. Winners are winners though no matter the juice, so give me Tkachuk and the Panthers to continue throwing pucks on net tonight.
