Underdog Fantasy NHL Picks November 7th: Sebastian Aho and the Hurricanes take on the Sabres
Welcome into NHL player prop central for the season on Underdog Fantasy! Player props are becoming one of the hottest growing things in hockey over the past few seasons and I have definitely taken notice as it adds yet another layer to a great game experience. Throughout this season you will find picks offered on the Underdog site that I find the most appealing as there are many to choose from so that's why I'm here to help you sift through the options.
For today's slate, we have 10 games on tap around the NHL and plenty of options for player props! I have highlighted a set of 3 props that I will be following tonight that includes 3 players around the league for the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers! Good luck to everyone on the props tonight, let's win some cheddar!
NHL Underdog Fantasy Top Picks November 7
Sebastian Aho, Carolina Hurricanes - HIGHER than 3.0 Shots On Goal
Since the start of this season very few centers have been as dependable as Aho when it comes to shooting the puck on net. In 9 games this season the Carolina forward has averaged 3.4 shots per game and has gone over 3 shots in 4 of those 9 games with 3 pushes. Even when he doesn't go higher he normally doesn't cost us money and that's huge. The Buffalo Sabres also allow nearly 30 shots on goal per game this season as well so I will be riding Aho to keep on this consistency train.
Bryan Rust, Pittsburgh Penguins - HIGHER than 2.5 Shots On Goal
The Penguins might suck right now but it hasn't stopped them from dominating when it comes to shots on goal. As a team the Penguins are averaging 34.37 shots per game and that's the 5th most in the NHL and one player that contributes a fair amount is Bryan Rust who plays on the top line with Sidney Crosby. Rust has averaged 3.3 shots per game this season and has gone higher than 2.5 shots in 7 of 10 games already this season including 3 straight games. I expect the ice to be tilted again today for the Penguins too as they play the Ducks who allow 32.45 shots per game.
Travis Konecny, Philadelphia Flyers - HIGHER than 3.0 Shots On Goal
Huge spot for the Flyers offense tonight if you have been following hockey this season as they face off against the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks are a dumpster fire allowing 4.91 goals per game and 37.45 shots per game, both the most in the NHL by a good size margin. Enter Konecny who is enjoying a productive season on the top powerplay unit and overall with the Flyers. He is averaging 3.4 shots per game and has gone higher than 3 shots in 6 of 12 games with a push. He fell short against Carolina and Vancouver too so I won't hold that against him. Against a much less opponent tonight he should smash this prop.
