It may not be one of the divisional rivalries that we have in Week 7, but we have two west teams going at it with the Los Angeles Rams hosting the Las Vegas Raiders. We’re also willing to admit that it may not be the marquee matchup of Sunday’s slate, but there is always an angle to find, which is why we’ve still shared our best Raiders vs. Rams predictions.

Raiders vs. Rams Predictions For NFL Week 7, Sunday 10/20

Figuring out Raiders vs. Rams predictions got much more interesting Tuesday morning with the trade of Las Vegas WR Davante Adams. Los Angeles would certainly like to have their WR duo back healthy as well, so it’s safe to say that the weapons on the outside could be the deciding factor of this matchup.

It will be interesting to see which team this ends up feeling like a home game for, as they both struggle to provide that for themselves in their respective stadiums. Regardless, LA is quite a significant favorite, but given how they’ve looked throughout the season, it’s tough to back them with a point spread hovering around a touchdown.

Therefore, we’ve taken a different approach of the best bet from our Raiders vs. Rams predictions that we have coming up for you.

Las Vegas Raiders: Finally Dealing Davante

When it comes to the Raiders this week, there is no other headline to discuss more than the Adams trade. It’s one that has been hypothesized the past few weeks while he’s been sitting out with what has been labeled as a hamstring injury.

It’s quite apparent that he, the Jets and former teammate QB Aaron Rodgers were cooking something up, as he was at Rodgers’ house about an hour after the news broke for his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. Las Vegas was already juggling QBs this season, so this news doesn’t bode well for their chances.

Los Angeles Rams: Wide Receiver Woes

With the above in mind, it lessens any surprise that the Rams are such a heavy favorite. On the flip side of that, they too are dealing with missing WRs. Starting with second-year breakout star Puka Nacua, he is technically eligible to come off injured reserve since he went on it following a Week 1 injury.

However, it does not appear as though he’ll be making his return this Sunday. The other side of LA’s WR tandem - Cooper Kupp - may indeed make his return, but that is also still not set in stone. As has been the case since proving himself as a true bell cow, it may be another Sunday with a full dose of RB Kyren Williams.

Raiders vs. Rams Predictions: Under 43.5 Points (-105 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

It’s worth noting that if you believe in the Rams getting the job done, DraftKings is also the place to be, as LA is favored by a full seven points or more on some other platforms. That said, we’re still going to focus our Raiders vs. Rams predictions on the total instead.

Truthfully, we like a handful of unders in Week 7, this being one of them. With the biggest storylines for each team regarding missing offensive weapons, much of our analysis is out of the way. Of course, that isn’t the full story, either.

These teams didn’t meet last year, but they did the year prior. Of course, that means rosters were different, but let’s break that down. The Raiders were equipped with QB Derek Carr, RB Josh Jacobs and, of course, WR Davante Adams. We’d imagine that most fans would agree that the trio is stronger than what Las Vegas has put on the field this year.

Well, in that game, they still scored just 17 points. Similarly, the Rams put up just 16 themselves, and now, they still need more time to be 100% healthy. Having just had their bye week certainly helps with that, but prior to that, we saw LA held to fewer than 20 points in back-to-back games.

Lastly, let’s also not forget something else we’ve noted - the Raiders still don’t even have faith in a true starting QB. That doesn’t seem too surprising after hearing that they’ve scored 13 and 18 points in their last two games, and across the entire year, they’ve scored more than 22 just once.

Taking all that into account, we’re going with under 43.5 points (-105 at DraftKings Sportsbook) as the best bet from our Raiders vs. Rams predictions.
