49ers vs. Buccaneers Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Week 10, Sunday 11/10
We often see the San Francisco 49ers in the late afternoon slate of games, but with their travel across the country to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers, they’ll be featured during the 1 PM ET slate. It’s an interesting matchup of teams with surprisingly nearly identical records, and you can check out our best 49ers vs. Buccaneers predictions below.

49ers vs. Buccaneers Predictions For NFL Week 10, Sunday 11/10
We say that it’s rather surprising to see the 49ers (4-4) and Bucs (4-5) with nearly identical records, as the former was expected to dominate the entire NFC prior to the season, while the former entered with far lesser expectations.
However, Tampa QB Baker Mayfield has been having a career year, but recent injuries to their star WR combo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin has now seen them drop three straight. Of course, San Francisco hasn’t been without their injuries.
From losing superstar RB Christian McCaffrey just before the Week 1 kickoff and more recently, WR Brandon Aiyuk after giving him a contract extension just before the start of the year, they’re one of the most banged-up teams in the NFL. Keep that in mind as we work our way down to the top pick from our 49ers vs. Buccaneers predictions!
San Francisco 49ers: The Return Of CMC?
There is no storyline bigger on the west coast if not the entire NFL than the potential return of RB Christian McCaffrey. CMC was ruled inactive at nearly the last season before their Week 1 Monday Night Football game, leaving the team and fantasy football managers scrambling.
There’s no doubt that backup RB Jordan Mason filled in with flying colors, but even he has been nicked up in recent weeks. All that said, signs are pointing to CMC suiting up with the ‘9ers coming out of their bye week. Also, it’s hard to ignore anything ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggests.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Forgetting Monday Night Football
On the flip side, Tampa knows that Godwin isn’t returning any time soon, and while Evans isn’t done for the year, they need to focus on the here and now. That is especially true given their disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
The Bucs had a chance to hand the back-to-back Super Bowl champs and currently lone undefeated team their first loss, but fell in overtime. Their decision to go for the tie after scoring a touchdown with 27 seconds remaining rather than going for two and the win was one that caused debate all week, but they need to put that behind them.
As usual, the NFC South is wide open, as their 4-5 record has them in second place behind the Atlanta Falcons.
49ers vs. Buccaneers Odds, Spreads, Total & Betting Lines
We used the 49ers vs. Buccaneers odds at BetMGM Sportsbook to provide you with the best value, and you can see the latest lines below:
- Point Spread: San Francisco 49ers -5.5 (-110) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +5.5 (-110)
- Money Line: San Francisco 49ers (-250) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+200)
- Game Total (Over/Under): Over 51 (-110) vs. Under 51 (-110)
49ers vs. Buccaneers Predictions: Under 51 Points (-110 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
With how many significant injuries we’ve been noting, it may come as no surprise that our 49ers vs. Buccaneers predictions are focused on a low-scoring game. Conversely, some fans may indeed be questioning that given the return of CMC.
That is certainly understandable, but even if we do get to see the superstar, we’d be shocked if he wasn’t eased back into things. The injury he suffered wasn’t just a generic calf injury - it was an Achilles injury as well.
It was one that McCaffrey traveled overseas to get worked on internationally. The significance cannot be understated, either. Prior to learning about the Achilles portion, CMC wasn’t expected to miss any time. Then, he went on to miss NINE weeks.
Of course, he’s not the only one on the field. The Bucs defense is far from great, but a total over 50 is simply adjusted too far for their struggles. We even saw this total open at 52.5 points, so it’s clear that respected bettors have felt the same.
This one may be a sweat with us needing to trust both passing defenses to slow things down, but we’re still comfortable making the best bet from our 49ers vs. Buccaneers predictions on the under 51 points (-110 at BetMGM Sportsbook).
