NFL Injury Report 2024-25 Ahead Of Divisional Round: Zay Flowers & More

We don’t have that deep of an injury report for the NFL Divisional Round of the playoffs and you know what, that’s great news. We want teams to be healthy and we want teams to be as close to full strength as possible when they do battle with the stakes we have here. Let’s dive into what we have for an NFL injury report heading into the weekend!
NFL Divisional Round Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes Injury Update - Ankle
After a full week of being listed as a full participant on the Chiefs injury report, to nobody’s surprise, Patrick Mahomes is off of the list and will play in the Divisional round.
NFL Divisional Round Injury Report: Running Backs
David Montgomery Injury Update - Knee
It’s now official: David Montgomery is OFF the injury report and is ready for the NFL Divisional Round and the Detroit Lions take on the Washington Commanders. Because Montgomery has been out since his Week 15 injury, it makes you wonder if there are going to be limitations.
Joe Mixon Injury Update - Ankle
After not being on the injury report to start the week, he showed up as a limited in practice for the second day and then didn’t practice at all on Thursday. He’s listed as questionable, but he’s expected to play per Jordan Schultz of FOX sports.
Isiah Pacheco Injury Update - Rib
Isiah Pacheco, like Patrick Mahomes, got in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the team’s injury report. He’s good to go for the divisional round.
NFL Divisional Round Injury Report: Wide Receivers
Zay Flowers Injury Update - Knee
After not practicing all week, the Ravens are listing Zay Flowers as doubtful for this game. There is video of Flowers getting in some work this week and head coach John Harbaugh said there is a chance he plays.
Robert Woods Injury Update - Hip
After not practicing this week, the veteran is questionable this week.
NFL Divisional Round Injury Report: Tight Ends
Dallas Goedert Injury Update - Illness
After missing practice on Thursday, Dallas Goedert was back on the practice field on Friday and has been removed from the team’s injury report heading into the weekend. He’s dealing with an illness.
Tyler Higbee Injury Update - Chest

Player News
The Athletic’s Vic Tafur reports that Raiders co-owner “Tom Brady likes the idea of rookie quarterbacks sitting and soaking it all in” during the player’s rookie season.
Tafur also notes that after examining Geno Smith’s recent contract extension through 2027, “the Raiders have a clear out after 2026.” Smith’s team-friendly deal keeps the Raiders in play for a quarterback with the No. 6 overall pick, though fantasy managers may be forced to wait a year before drafting said player.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Derek Carr is “believed” to have suffered “a significant” injury in his throwing shoulder during the 2024 season.
The Saints listed the right-armed Carr with a left-hand injury late in Weeks 15-18 but made no mention of a throwing-shoulder issue. There seems to be more to this story. Carr has not yet decided whether he will undergo surgery but, regardless, it seems clear that the Saints must select a quarterback early in the 2025 NFL Draft at this point.
NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk reports that “Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is facing a lawsuit for at least $1 million after an incident in the parking lot of a car dealership December.
The individual suing Sneed reportedly alleges that either “Sneed or Sneed’s personal assistant shot at him while” parked at a car dealership. The individual’s lawyer also claims that there is video evidence to support the allegation. Other details are currently unknown. Sneed also rehabbing a quad injury suffered in-season last year.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports that “the Saints have been preparing for the draft knowing about” Derek Carr’s recently disclosed shoulder injury.
Though news of the injury broke only today, it appears as though the Saints’ have known “about this recent shoulder issue” for some time. The Saints brain trust evidently sprung a leak, though, and now the rest of the QB-needy teams know that leapfrogging the Saints’ No. 9 overall pick may be required to secure a high-end prospect. Carr’s 2025 availability remains unknown.
Broncos signed S Sam Franklin Jr. to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.
The Broncos added former Saints interim head coach and long-time special team coach Darren Rizzi to their staff this offseason. He holds both the special teams coach and assistant head coach roles. Beat reporter Chris Tomasson reports that Rizzi is said to have “pushed” for Franklin’s signing this offseason, after watching Franklin dominate NFC South special teams play as a member of the Panthers. Franklin has totaled at least seven special teams tackles in each of the last four seasons.
Free agent EDGE Chris Rumph II worked out for the Broncos on Friday.
The former Chargers’ fourth-round pick has been unable to remain on-field over the last two seasons, suffering a season-ending foot injury in November 2023, followed by an undisclosed season-ending injury in August 2024. Rumph has flashed pass-rushing and tackling traits when available, posting a career-best 10.3 percent pass-rush win rate in nine 2023 games. He has 26 quarterback pressures, three sacks and 19 tackles to his name.
