NFL Week 2 DFS Contrarian Picks: Matthew Stafford, Josh Jacobs & More
Hard to believe we’ve already made our way into Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season, but here we are and we’re ready to build some more winning NFL DFS lineups with some key DFS contrarian picks.
When building your NFL DFS cash game lineups, you’re always looking for high-floor players in order to mitigate risk. After all, you only need to beat half the field. You also want to look at NFL DFS Ownership to see if there are any players, normally-priced or bargains, who everyone is on. Nothing like a ‘free square’ in DFS cash games, right?
But GPP tournaments are much different and if you are playing in a mega multi-entry GPP tournament, you’re going to want to find ways to differentiate yourself from the rest of the field. There is nothing wrong with putting someone like Cooper Kupp into your GPP lineup at 40% ownership, but you’ll have to find other ways to separate yourself from the herd. You want to find some DFS contrarian picks – not just guys with low-ownership, but guys with legitimate matchups, strong upside AND low-ownership.
So, let's take a look at some of my favorite NFL DFS contrarian picks for Week 2.
NFL Week 2 DFS Contrarian Picks
- Matthew Stafford, QB Los Angeles Rams ($6,000 DK; $7,500 FD)
- Josh Jacobs, RB Green Bay Packers ($6,500 DK; $7,100)
- Mike Evans, WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($7,500 DK; $8,000 FD)
- Brock Bowers, TE Las Vegas Raiders ($4,400 DK; $5,300 FD)
