Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks
In years past, this would be a matchup where we’d focus on an elite Baltimore defense trying to slow down an LA offense with weapons all over the field. However, this season, the script has completely flipped.
The Ravens offense has been reaching historic values, while the Chargers hadn’t allowed a team to score more than 20 points all season until the most recent Sunday Night Football game! That came against another AFC North team - the Cincinnati Bengals.
Interestingly enough, we hit our first player prop for that game with a QB rushing prop, and that’s exactly where we’re starting our NFL MNF player prop picks for this week.
Ravens vs. Chargers Player Props: Lamar Jackson Over 41.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
While we’re focused on another QB rushing prop for our Ravens vs. Chargers player props, it’s a significantly different value than the one for Bengals QB Joe Burrow last week. Of course, it’s justifiable, but regardless, Burrow soared over 8.5 rushing yards with 28 yards.
Some fans may be considering Jackson’s rush attempts prop, but as of late, rather than rushing often, he’s been more efficient in doing so. Over the past three games, Jackson hasn’t rushed more than seven times, and his carries prop is set at 7.5 attempts.
On the flip side, he has rushed for 40+ yards in every single game this season other than just two. After getting shut down on the Ravens two-point conversion attempt at the end of last Sunday’s upset loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, we expect Jackson to look to redeem himself right from the jump.
This is also a case of the LA defense being fantastic in nearly every aspect of the game, which means Lamar is also going to be forced to create rather than finding open receivers earlier and often. Therefore, we’re starting our NFL MNF player prop picks with Lamar Jackson over 41.5 rushing yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook).
Ravens vs. Chargers Player Prop Bets: Ladd McConkey Over 68.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
Continuing our NFL MNF player prop picks is likely the most ‘public’ play for this matchup, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable. We say that as Baltimore’s pass defense has been ridiculed to oblivion - and rightfully so.
Now, they did just sign safety Desmond King earlier this week. However, he is much more of a physical safety than he is a cover-based one. Even if he does help in that regard, Chargers WR Ladd McConkey has not only burst onto the scene, but has also solidified himself as a true threat.
He’s no longer a sneaky DFS pick but a standard one, but we still don't believe that oddsmakers have adjusted his receiving yardage prop enough. McConkey is coming off a 123-yard performance, which was the second time he surpassed the century mark in the past four games.
Now, he did stay under this total in the other two, but one of those came against the NFL’s best pass defense in the Tennessee Titans (believe it or not). Now, he gets to face a Ravens defense allowing the absolute most passing yards per game.
Even before exploding onto the scene, the Georgia product has gotten six or more targets in every single game except for two. With all that in mind, the other play from our NFL MNF player prop picks is Ladd McConkey over 68.5 receiving yards (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook).
