NFL Sleeper Top Picks & Plays for Week 14 Thursday Night Football Featuring Patriots vs Steelers

The twilight of the regular season of the NFL is upon us, so before we go trashing this game, let’s just remember what it feels like to be without football on a Thursday night. That said, this game is shaping up to be pretty gross. We have backup quarterbacks on both sides of the ball, the offensive efficiency has been garbage for both teams, and it’s got the lowest game total of the week, BUT, that doesn’t mean we can’t still have some fun with some picks.
As you may know, we’ve joined forces with our friends at Sleeper to introduce their Sleeper Picks feature. With Sleeper Picks, you can choose from a variety of players and stat lines, choose whether that player will have more or less than the given stat, and combine your picks for a chance to increase your payout. If you build enough, you can even multiply your entry up to 100x! So let’s get started and jump into some of my favorite Sleeper Picks for Week 13 Monday Night Football.

Sleeper Picks for NFL Week 14 Thursday Night Football Patriots vs Steelers
Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers
Yes, I know that it’s been the Najee Harris show the past few weeks, but with Harris banged up and not practicing this week, it could open the door for Warren to get more work. It hasn’t really been the work that’s been the problem aside from last week, and with Mitch Trubisky in at quarterback, they may opt to run the ball more tonight. Warren has hit this mark in four out of his last five games, and although it may be more difficult than usual to run the ball against New England’s defense, the volume should get him there.
Pick: Jaylen Warren more than 51.5 rush yards (1.73x)
Bailey Zappe, New England Patriots
It is just a perfect storm of mediocrity forming for Bailey Zappe this week, with Demario Douglas already ruled out and DeVante Parker and Juju Smith-Schuster questionable. Add to that the fact that Pittsburgh’s pass defense has really improved, only allowing an average of 164 yards passing over the last three weeks, and we’re shaping up to have nothing going through the air. Zappe has not hit more than this mark all year, even in favorable conditions, so I have no confidence in a sudden offensive explosion.
Pick: Bailey Zappe less than 159.5 passing yards (1.78x)
Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots
Remember when we were just talking about the passing game woes for New England? Yeah, there aren’t many options available for Bailey Zappe to move the ball downfield, and with that lack of a passing game, I expect Elliott to be heavily utilized with designed screens and even some pressured dump-off passes. He has had his moments in the passing game this season, and with Rhamondre Stevenson sidelined, there is no more sharing. All of this passing work should go to him, and against a defense that has allowed 4.75 receptions to the running back position per game, it should be easy, breezy.
Pick: Ezekiel Elliott more than 15.5 receiving yards (1.71x)
