Jeremy Sochan NBA Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 6.5 Rebounds

It took one game to realize that the pre-injury Jeremy Sochan wasn’t a fluke and that he’s a vastly improved player from a year ago. He was especially good on the glass grabbing 12 rebounds in 22 minutes, but the 17 potential boards he saw were even more impressive. 

The Spurs have ruled Victor Wembanyama out and with him off the floor, Sochan’s 16.2% REB rate is third highest on the team, but four percent higher than presumed starter Zach Collins. Sochan, because it was just a hand injury, should be extended in terms of minutes pretty quick and the 22 from the other day should be closer to 30 here. He’s one of my top Underdog NBA Picks of the day. 

 

 

 

Alperen Sengun NBA Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 6.5 Assists (1.12x)

There is a LOT to like about Alperen Sengun’s assists and it’s why this is one of my favorite Underdog NBA Picks of the slate. Over his last five games, he’s averaged 16.2 potential assists per game, which is THIRD in the entire league only trailing Trae Young and Cade Cunningham. 

Tari Eason is out and Fred VanVleet is questionable, shortening their rotation. Sengun’s averaged nearly 60 passes received over that span, 20 less than VanVleet, so think about what that number could be if FVV is ruled out and Sengun’s dictating the offense from the high post or on the block EVERY possession.
