NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks
MVP/Captain
Julius Randle, New York Knicks
Randle has been a consistent fantasy stud all season long. Randle is coming off his lowest fantasy points performance since the end of November with 30. That's right he has scored at least 30 fantasy points in every game since November 21st. He just possesses a crazy floor each night and we have seen him have huge nights as well. Usually, I am a Sabonis guy, but with Randle on the slate, I lean toward him.
Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings
The biggest reason I lean Randle tonight is the matchup Sabonis draws against Mitchell Robinson. However, he is still coming off four games in which he scored over 50 fantasy points. If you need to pivot off of Randle to save a little money, I have no issues playing Sabonis tonight. I just favor Randle because of the matchup.
De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings
Fox ended up missing the Kings' last game with a hamstring injury as he continues to deal with multiple injuries. He isn't on the injury report tonight so he should be good to go. When he has been on the floor he has been on fire scoring at least 30 game points in eight of his last 10 games played. Plug him in somewhere in your lineup, especially if Brunson is not around tonight.
Utility
RJ Barrett, New York Knicks
With Jalen Brunson out of the lineup the last two games Barrett has really thrived. He has attempted at least 22 shots in each game and has scored 40 and 53 fantasy points. If Brunson is out once again tonight Barrett is a must-play. If Brunson plays, I am not sure we should pay his price tag tonight.
Immanuel Quickley, New York Knicks
With Brunson out these past few games, Quickley has started in his place of him. It has been feast or famine with him throughout his career and not much has changed in the past two games. He scored 72 fantasy points and then 25 the next game. As Barrett, if Brunson plays yo might not want to play quickly. If he is out, you play him.
Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings
Boy am I happy that we have seen Huerter get consistent minutes in the last two games. It might have had something to do with Fox being out but he played 33 and 37 minutes scoring 39 and 52 fantasy points. Fox will be in the lineup tonight so we won't see quite that ceiling again, but that weird thing with Malik Monk playing more minutes than him appears to be over.
Josh Hart, New York Knicks
If you are looking for a solid 20-30 points from a spot in your lineup, Josh Hart is your guy. He has scored at least 22 fantasy points in his last six games and has posted back-to-back 10-point-eight-rebound games. He has a good matchup here against a Kings defense that ranks in the bottom 10 in the league in defensive efficiency
Dart Throws
Trey Lyles, Sacramento Kings
Trey Lyles has been a fantasy point-per-minute darling over his past five games. He is seventh in the NBA over that span scoring 1.2 fantasy points per minute. He has played over 20 minutes once in his last three games but he scored over 24 fantasy points in each contest. Let's ride him again in this one.
Quentin Grimes, New York Knicks
Grimes is your definition of a dart throw on this slate tonight. He has played at least 25 minutes in four straight games. He scored over 21 fantasy points in two games, and under eight fantasy points in the other two games. Play him, and hop he gets hot from downtown tonight.
