Tonight’s showdown match-up between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers features two teams both playing on back-to-backs. Both teams are coming off wins and this game features the highest implied point total on the board amongst all games, so there should be plenty of scoring. The stars will be out to play as Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, De’Aaron Fox, and Domantas Sabonis all take the floor. Finding some of the NBA DFS top picks could be made easier if you take a look at Fantasy Alarm’s NBA DFS Projections, powered by FanJections. Let’s dive into the complete breakdown for tonight’s showdown slate

NBA DFS Showdown CPT/MVP Top Plays

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Despite the constant triple-double threat that Domantas Sabonis is, Fox is the clubhouse leader in FP/min (1.38) and USG (32.9%). He’s averaged 51.4 DKP/game over his last four and 50.1 DKP/game for the entire season. He scored 40 actual against the Clippers in their lone meeting earlier this season and that came on the second leg of a back-to-back for all those worried about his legs here.

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

As the season has gone on and things are settling amongst all of the Clippers, Leonard has begun separating himself a bit as the team’s go-to guy, which is what everyone expected when he first arrived. He’s playing back-to-backs and is tied for the team-lead at 1.17 FP/min this year. That number is at 1.14 FP/min with Paul George and James Harden on the floor. Both George and Harden are at 1.00 or lower with Leonard. The alpha that has been in Leonard his entire career (when healthy) is out and it’s awesome to see.

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Sabonis fell just one assist shy of a triple-double last night and if that game stayed competitive down the stretch, there’s a good chance he notches one. Sabonis has been a 1.3 FP/min producer this year and operates as the hub for this offense, so he’s involved in EVERY offensive set for them. He has as good a chance as anyone to have a ceiling game on this slate.

NBA DFS Showdown UTIL Top Plays

Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers

George hasn’t had many good shooting nights lately and yet has put up 20+ points and 40+ DKP in four straight games. The Kings are ninth in pace and bottom-10 in defense over the last 10 games. George is a 1.12 FP/min producer this year and despite being second fiddle to Kawhi Leonard offensively, George is a great peripheral stat stuffer.

James Harden, Los Angeles Clippers

Harden’s been a steady source of production for the Clippers lately averaging 42.4 DKP/game over his last four games. He’s been shooting the ball extremely well this year notching 46/41/86 shooting splits. It’s a really good pace-up spot for Harden and the Clippers and with Keegan Murray likely chasing Paul George and Kawhi Leonard around, Harden will have a plus-matchup here.

Ivica Zubac, Los Angeles Clippers

Nothing I like more when it comes to the Clippers than when I see Zubac playing big minutes, which is where he’s been the last two games. He’s played 33 and 42 respectively and has looked fantastic in both scoring 18 points while shooting north of 60% from the field. Zubac played 30 minutes against the Kings in their one meeting this year and averaged nearly 26 MPG in two games last year. He will also be an option as a low-rostered captain play.

Malik Monk, Sacramento Kings

Without looking at the sixth-man of the year odds, Monk has to be closing the gap with his stellar play of late. He’s averaged north of 20 PPG over his last four games and topping 20 in three of four. He can do a little of everything and on the year, he’s averaging 1.13 FP/min. He’s consistently in the Kings’ closing lineup too, playing 28+ minutes in five straight games.

NBA DFS Showdown Value Plays

Trey Lyles, Sacramento Kings

There isn’t much true value on this slate, so i’ll settle in on Lyles as my favorite cheapie. We saw what happens if he simply makes shots; he stays on the floor. He went 6-7 FGA and 5-6 3PA last night and played nearly 24 minutes. He has the highest ceiling amongst all the guys at this price point.

Terance Mann, Los Angeles Clippers

There isn’t a really high ceiling, but at this price on this showdown slate, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone playing anywhere close to the minutes Mann plays. He’s played 29 & 30 the last two nights and is in the Clippers starting lineup to boot. 19+ DKP in back-to-back games and that would just about do it if it helps you get 2-3 stars tonight.
