PG | Cade Cunningham | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 9700 | 49.5 | 9300 | 47.4 |
Battle of top guards here tonight and Cunningham is coming in with less ownership than LaMelo Ball for what I only assume is a price point thing on DraftKings. Cunningham has been flashing triple-double upside this season and the Hornets really lack size that would prevent him from getting to the rim tonight. In tournaments, he is one of my favorite plays today. Game Type: CASH & GPP
PG | LaMelo Ball | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 9500 | 47.3 | 9400 | 45.6 |
There's nothing wrong with LaMelo in this matchup. He's getting more ownership on DraftKings than Cunningham and when he isn't getting benched we've seen the 50+ fantasy point ceiling. Of course, he is a turnover prone guard that also can get into foul trouble so there are some concerns. I do tend to look at guys after they've been called out and Ball has had a couple of recent missteps now so maybe he uses this game as an opportunity to get in the good graces of his head coach. Game Type: GPP
SG | Jalen Suggs | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 6800 | 31.9 | 6700 | 31.7 |
It is a short slate and the Lakers are not a good defensive team. We've seen Suggs put up some big numbers and due to the injuries he's been the second scorer on this Magic offense behind Franz Wagner. We also know Suggs can pile up the defensive stats on any given night which really helps his floor. Game Type: CASH
PG | Chris Paul | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 6300 | 33.7 | 6100 | 33.5 |
Paul is looking good to go and without Wembanyama the Spurs lean on him more in the offensive set. This matchup against the Jazz is a favorable one for CP3 who should be locked in for 5x return this evening. Game Type: GPP
PG | Keyonte George | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 5800 | 29.3 | 5600 | 27.3 |
George has a 23.5% usage rate with Jordan Clarkson off of the floor this season and with Clarkson out of the lineup there should be opportunities for him to get more involved in the overall offense. Yes, Clarkson being out still means high usage players like Collin Sexton, John Collins and Lauri Markkanen could take more shots but the second-year guard has also shown a nice scoring ceiling this season. Game Type: GPP
PG | Isaiah Collier | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 3500 | 16.9 | 4000 | 17.1 |
Here is a popular punt play tonight. The Jazz used a first round pick on Isaiah Collier and the former five-star recruit out of USC has seen more playing time of late, averaging 18.3 minutes during the month of November. His numbers haven't jumped off the page but we could see him play 25 or so minutes tonight and when we got that this season he's given us back 22.5 and 24.5 fantasy points. Game Type: CASH & GPP
SG | Austin Reaves | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 7200 | 33.8 | 6900 | 32.5 |
It's hard to have a huge ceiling when Anthony Davis and Lebron James are popping off every night but on short slates sometimes all we need is a safe floor and Reaves definitely has that even in a tougher matchup against the Orlando Magic. Game Type: CASH
SG | Jaden Ivey | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 6700 | 36.1 | 6400 | 35.1 |
We've preached Ivey's upside for a few seasons now but he always found himself in the doghouse. So far, so good this season with Ivey in the starting lineup and it has allowed him to find some consistency playing alongside Cade. Game Type: GPP
SG | Collin Sexton | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 5400 | 31.6 | 5500 | 30.6 |
Going to be pretty popular today with Jordan Clarkson out of the lineup. We should expect over 30 minutes of playing time from Sexton this evening and with Jordan Clarkson off the floor he has a team high 27% usage rate. Game Type: CASH & GPP
SG | Malik Beasley | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 5200 | 20 | 5300 | 19 |
Yes, Tim Hardaway Jr. returned to the lineup the other night and played 30 minutes but Beasley also played 30 minutes off the bench and was far more productive than TJH, scoring 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting. Beasley has now scored 20 or more points in six of the last seven games. Game Type: GPP
SG | Stephon Castle | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 4900 | 27 | 5300 | 26.4 |
Another popular play here tonight. The rookie is playing over 30 minutes a game right now and has a 22% usage rate with Wembanyama and Vassell off of the floor this season. I'd look for the rookie to continue his progression, filling out the stat sheet with the potential for double-digit scoring. Game Type: GPP
SG | Anthony Black | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 4400 | 18.6 | 4900 | 18.6 |
Caldwell-Pope is ruled out tonight. Black has been a pretty streaky player this season but when he is locked in the production has been great for the price. Over the last two games we've seen 33 and 29 minutes for Black and in those two games we've gotten 44 and 29 fantasy points at under $4,500 on DraftKings. I have no problem continuing to roll him out as the second-year wing is having a strong sophomore season. Game Type: GPP
SF | RJ Barrett | MIN @ TOR Thu 7:30 | 8900 | 36.7 | 8400 | 35.2 |
Yes, Scottie Barnes could be back tonight but I don't really see Barrett being a guy that gets impacted here too much. Barnes is a really good facilitator on offense, often times playing point guard, and Barrett is a really good slasher. This matchup against the Timberwolves is going to be tough so I'm not sure that 50 fantasy point ceiling is in play but I do think he will be pretty safe tonight and a decent cash game play. Game Type: CASH
SF | Lauri Markkanen | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 7100 | 42.1 | 7500 | 40.7 |
Another cash game option who showed us some nice upside the other night. With Jordan Clarkson out of the lineup he is another wing player that should benefit with more shooting opportunities and the Spurs, being without Wembanyama is certainly a good matchup for Lauri. Game Type: CASH
SF | Brandon Miller | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 6900 | 34.6 | 7000 | 33.5 |
We may see the Hornets missing Miles Bridges tonight but either way the story is always going to be the same with Brandon Miller. When he hits his shots he will be a low rostered play that can go for 50 fantasy points. When he misses his shots you may be looking at a 3x night. Game Type: GPP
SF | Keldon Johnson | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 5300 | 28.5 | 5600 | 27.7 |
Keldon popped off for six three-pointers in the Spurs upset win over the Thunder the other night. The price is nice and Johnson has a pretty solid usage rate with Wembanyama off of the floor this season. Game Type: GPP
SF | Dalton Knecht | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 5100 | 24.9 | 6300 | 24.4 |
I shouted his name from the roof tops the other night and boy did he pay off, knocking down nine three-pointers. Now, I'm 100% expecting him to stay in the starting lineup no matter what the status of Rui Hachimura is. That said, I don't expect nine threes, the price has gone up and this is a much tougher matchup against a good Magic team. I'm fine dipping my toes back in the water in tournaments knowing that he has hit at least five three-pointers in three of the last four games. Game Type: GPP
SF | Julian Champagnie | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 4600 | 24.1 | 4800 | 24 |
Another popular Spurs play. Champangie has been pretty good this season, averaging over 20 fantasy points per game and is still priced under $5,000 on both sites. The minutes are pretty secure and his overall production is pretty steady as we get 10-to-15 points with a few rebounds, blocks and steals. Game Type: CASH & GPP
SF | Cody Martin | 3800 | 0 | 4600 | 0
Maybe a sneaky value play tonight. Martin has a role on this team anyhow but could crack the starting lineup if Miles Bridges gets ruled out. Regardless, Martin has done a good job filling the stat sheet, especially from the defensive end of the floor. Game Type: GPP
PF | LeBron James | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 10100 | 51 | 9900 | 49.7 |
He was the cover of the preview show this morning. Lebron is trending towards being the highest rostered spend up play of the slate given the value on the board. Yes, the Magic play good defense and at a slow pace but Lebron is always live for a triple-double and defensively, the Magic are missing some size to handle him even if they are getting some rim protection back with Wendell Carter Jr. likely returning. Game Type: CASH & GPP
PF | Franz Wagner | ORL @ LAL Thu 10:30 | 9100 | 40.4 | 9200 | 39.8 |
Finally had a down game last night against the Clippers as he scored just 14 points with six rebounds, six assists and four steals over 35 minutes. Wagner only took 11 field goal attempts, a 50+% drop off from what we've seen since Paolo Banchero went down. This is a much better matchup from an offensive stand point for Wagner as the Lakers are not a strong defensive unit. Game Type: CASH
PF | Julius Randle | MIN @ TOR Thu 7:30 | 8300 | 41.1 | 7400 | 39 |
Another good short slate play. He should be locked in for 35-to-40 fantasy points tonight in this spot against the Raptors and we've just finally seen the ceiling game as he scored 35 actual points in a win over the Suns. Game Type: CASH
PF | John Collins | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 7200 | 39.4 | 7100 | 37.6 |
A high usage rate player, Collins has consistently found his way into my lineup this season and even more so following the injury to Walker Kessler. Not having to deal with Wembanyama tonight makes this matchup against the Spurs front court that much more appealing. Game Type: GPP
PF | Tobias Harris | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 6200 | 34 | 6500 | 34.1 |
Safe cash game play. Lock him in for 30-to-35 fantasy points. The Hornets are not a great defensive team and Harris has done enough this season to warrant him being a reliable play on a shorter slate. Game Type: CASH
PF | Grant Williams | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 5000 | 23.1 | 5700 | 22.4 |
Opposite of Harris could be Grant Williams tonight if Bridges ends up getting ruled out. Williams has been starting as the small-ball center for the Hornets but Williams could move to power forward if Bridges doesn't play. Williams has been really good of late, averaging 30 fantasy points over the last five games with a 35 fantasy point ceiling. Game Type: CASH & GPP
PF | Harrison Barnes | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 4400 | 21 | 4500 | 20.4 |
Interesting tournament play here tonight. He took a lot of shots the other night with Wembanyama and Vassell out of the lineup and he's shown the potential to grab rebounds in past games this season. Utah is not using a traditional lineup with them missing Walker Kessler an this stretch nature could help Barnes here tonight. Game Type: GPP
C | Anthony Davis | 11100 | 0 | 11400 | 0
Listen, he's the most expensive player on the slate and there is a ton of value on the board. Getting to Davis would not be hard thing to do and he can go for 60-to-70 fantasy points on any given night. The Magic play slow and are good defensively but that may not matter. Plus, he is the ultimate late-night hammer. The Lakers and Magic do not tip off until 2.5 hours after the second to last game of the night. Game Type: CASH & GPP
C | Rudy Gobert | MIN @ TOR Thu 7:30 | 6600 | 37.4 | 6800 | 37.2 |
A lot of ownership on Gobert here tonight. We know what he is and we know what he isn't. This feels like a safe play that can get us 35 fantasy points tonight and that could be why many are getting to him as a mid-tier play. Game Type: GPP
C | Jalen Duren | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 6400 | 35.8 | 6600 | 33.9 |
My go to center tonight. The Hornets are always horrific against opposing centers and nobody is on Duren tonight with the ownership going to Gobert and Zach Collins. We just saw a ceiling game from Duren where he grabbed 22 rebounds and that could easily be in play tonight. Game Type: GPP
C | Zach Collins | 6000 | 0 | 6000 | 0
Chalk center play. Collins is a great fantasy point per minute play. My lone issue is just the minutes. The Spurs will give Charles Blassey 20+ minutes tonight and for every extra minutes that Blassey plays it keeps Collins off of the floor. Game Type: CASH & GPP
C | Kyle Filipowski | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 4800 | 22.9 | 4700 | 23.7 |
He's been starting with Walker Kessler ruled out and now that Jordan Clarkson has been ruled out as well its possible the Jazz just tighten up their rotation and Filiposwki goes from 24-26 minutes to 26-30 minutes. Game Type: GPP
C | Charles Bassey | UTA @ SAS Thu 8:00 | 4000 | 22.7 | 4800 | 24.1 |
Your spend down play at the position. Blassey has gotten 20+ minutes in each of the last two games with Wembanyama out of the lineup. He is a high fantasy point per minute player that could continue to see his minutes creep up if he gets going. Game Type: GPP
C | Moussa Diabaté | DET @ CHA Thu 7:00 | 4000 | 10.8 | 4600 | 11.7 |
This play makes a lot of sense to me and can be a pivot off of Bassey tonight. The Hornets need size against Jalen Duren and Diabate is averagign 6.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over 21.1 minutes for the last five games. He played 25 and 30 minutes against the Bucks and Orlando and went for 43 and 39 fantasy points. Game Type: GPP |
Cade Cunningham, PG | 9700 , 49.5 | 49.5 | 9300 , 47.4 | 47.4
Battle of top guards here tonight and Cunningham is coming in with less ownership than LaMelo Ball for what I only assume is a price point thing on DraftKings. Safe cash game play. Lock him in for 30-to-35 fantasy points. The Hornets are not a great defensive team and Harris has done enough this season to warrant him being a reliable play on a shorter slate. Game Type: CASH
Grant Williams, PF | 5000 , 23.1 | 23.1 | 5700 , 22.4 | 22.4
Opposite of Harris could be Grant Williams tonight if Bridges ends up getting ruled out. Williams has been starting as the small-ball center for the Hornets but Williams could move to power forward if Bridges doesn't play. Williams has been really good of late, averaging 30 fantasy points over the last five games with a 35 fantasy point ceiling. Game Type: CASH & GPP
Harrison Barnes, PF | 4400 , 21 | 21 | 4500 , 20.4 | 20.4
Interesting tournament play here tonight. He took a lot of shots the other night with Wembanyama and Vassell out of the lineup and he's shown the potential to grab rebounds in past games this season. Utah is not using a traditional lineup with them missing Walker Kessler an this stretch nature could help Barnes here tonight. Game Type: GPP

Rudy Gobert, C | 6600 , 37.4 | 37.4 | 6800 , 37.2 | 37.2
A lot of ownership on Gobert here tonight. We know what he is and we know what he isn't. This feels like a safe play that can get us 35 fantasy points tonight and that could be why many are getting to him as a mid-tier play. Game Type: GPP
Jalen Duren, C | 6400 , 35.8 | 35.8 | 6600 , 33.9 | 33.9
My go to center tonight. The Hornets are always horrific against opposing centers and nobody is on Duren tonight with the ownership going to Gobert and Zach Collins. We just saw a ceiling game from Duren where he grabbed 22 rebounds and that could easily be in play tonight. Game Type: GPP
Zach Collins, C | 6000 , 0 | 0 | 6000 , 0 | 0
Chalk center play. Collins is a great fantasy point per minute play. My lone issue is just the minutes. The Spurs will give Charles Blassey 20+ minutes tonight and for every extra minutes that Blassey plays it keeps Collins off of the floor. Game Type: CASH & GPP
4800 , 22.9 | 22.9 | 4700 , 23.7 | 23.7
He's been starting with Walker Kessler ruled out and now that Jordan Clarkson has been ruled out as well its possible the Jazz just tighten up their rotation and Filiposwki goes from 24-26 minutes to 26-30 minutes. Game Type: GPP
4000 , 22.7 | 22.7 | 4800 , 24.1 | 24.1
Your spend down play at the position. Blassey has gotten 20+ minutes in each of the last two games with Wembanyama out of the lineup. He is a high fantasy point per minute player that could continue to see his minutes creep up if he gets going. Game Type: GPP
4000 , 10.8 | 10.8 | 4600 , 11.7 | 11.7
This play makes a lot of sense to me and can be a pivot off of Bassey tonight. The Hornets need size against Jalen Duren and Diabate is averagign 6.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over 21.1 minutes for the last five games. He played 25 and 30 minutes against the Bucks and Orlando and went for 43 and 39 fantasy points. Game Type: GPP |
