NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Sunday Playbook

Hey, Trae Young is really good and man is he hard to slow down when the shot is falling. He's shot the ball really well recently and with all of the guys out/traded, Young has a robust 32.9% USG and 1.3 FP/min. Philly ranks 27th in DRtg in March.

I think this is a bit interesting. Nobody's playing him today and it's not the easiest spot in the world, but Miami is in a freefall and have lost 10 in a row. They're middle of the pack defensively in March and Ball has shot the ball a little better lately. He just hasn't been in many competitive games and hasn't been extended. Ball's ceiling makes it an interesting GPP play.

Nikola Jokic has already been ruled out so let's see if Murray shows up in this one unlike he did the other day. Without Jok on the floor, Murray has a 26.5% USG and averages 1.09 FP/min. He's the clear pivot off Russell Westbrook who's 2.5X his ownership.

Westbrook is such a good fantasy player and is doing so without the BEST fantasy player in the world. Without Jokic on the floor this year, Westbrook gets a team-leading 7% USG increase up to 30% and averages a team-leading 1.2 FP/min.

Castle is coming off a career-high 15 assists and without Fox, Wemby, and a few guys they traded away, Castle has a team-leading 28.2% USG and is averaging 1.09 FP/min. The Raptors have improved defensively this month, but they're 18th overall on the year.

CP3 has been great this year without Wemby and Fox. CP3 is at 1.1 FP/min without them and has played 26+ minutes and scored 31+ DKP in each. He's at 28+ DKP in three straight. He's SO cheap on DK.

I'm not entirely sold on Jamal Shead here but he's incredibly popular and it's a great spot. He start for IQ on 3/16 and played 25 minutes while posted 10 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. The minutes leave a little bit to be desired, especially as a starter.

Grimes is insane. Absolutely insane. With who's out for Philly, Grimes has a 36.5% USG and averages 1.55 FP/min. Grimes is beating opponents in every way possible as he's scored 46 points three games ago and had a 25-point double-double last time out. He'll obviously get the Dyson Daniels treatment, but Grimes is great here.

It's hard to quantify what Dyson Daniels does nightly. The steals, the peripheral stats, and decent scoring every single night. He's had 40+ DKP in three straight games and that would be more than OK at his price on DK.

The only thing we're certain of here for Boston is that Jaylen Brown is out. Tatum, Porzingis, and Holiday are all listed as questionable as well. If it's just Brown sitting, Pritchard has about a 20% USG and averages right around 1 FP/min to boot. He'd become as good as it gets if more Boston sits.

Without all the guys the Spurs are down or have traded, Devin Vassell has been solid this year. He's sitting at 1.01 FP/min and is right around a 21% USG to boot. He's put up 32+ DKP in six of seven and has flashed a massive ceiling.

Here's what I'll say about Toronto. At least they're playing their guys right now. We've seen Barnes play 30 minutes or more in two straight games, including mid-30's last game, which isn't something we've seen much lately. He had 29-10-6 when extended and is playing without Quickley and Poeltl in this one. He also draws a matchup against the team ranking dead last in defense this month.

What we know: Deandre Ayton and Robert Williams III are out. What else we know: Jerami Grant is doubtful while Donovan Clingan, Anfernee Simons, and Jabari Walker are all questionable. With only Ayton and Williams out, Avdija leads the Blazers at 1.2 FP/min while posting a 23% USG.

The minutes are what they are. Mid-to-high 20s. Every so often, when the moon is full, he gets up to 30. Regardless, he's impactful when he's out there. He has a 23.3% USG and is averaging 1.09 FP/min.

The pricing kind of is what is is and that isn't great overall, but the numbers and ceiling Tatum has is great. Tatum without Brown this year, has a 36.7% USG and averages 1.45 FP/min. Love it if he suits up.

Aaron Gordon has returned from injury and has just simply looked amazing. He looks healthy, which is most important, but man the scoring he's doing while Nikola Jokic has been out is impressive. He's scored 23+ points in three straight and 17+ in four straight. Without Jokic this season, Gordon has nearly a 25% USG thanks to a 5.5% USG bump and is averaging 1.12 FP/min.

Chalk city again, but what's there not to like? He's starting and playing MASSIVE minutes right now. He's played 35+ in two straight as a starter and has dominated the glass and potential assists too. 

Despite Nick Nurse telling us a lot of Philly's veteran's minutes would be cut down, out of necessity he's continued to be out there. No Drummond or Bona again today, so if the game is close, you'll see him close once again. He has a massive ceiling at the price as we've seen throughout the year.

Nobody is going to play Alperen Sengun here but he's in a good spot. Denver's 21st in DRtg this year and 25th in DRtg in March. The price is really what turns me off, but that's what will lower his ownership.

Porzingis has been a scoring machine lately. He's scored 24+ points in all three games since returning from an illness and has two straight double-doubles and 50+ DKP. Without Jaylen Brown, he's nearly a 1.3 FP/min player.

It's not the usage rate that stands out, it's his ability to stuff the stat sheet. He has 1.19 FP/min without Jalen Johnson and friends this year and has an ELITE matchup. Okongwu has 40+ DKP in four straight games.

Edwards has looked really good in three straight games and the minutes have been incredibly elite. He's scored 18+ points in three straight and 31+ DKP in each of them. He's also played 30+ minutes in those three games and 38 or more in the competitive ones.

Trusting anything Miami Heat related that isn't Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo is lineup suicide, but also, with the Heat in the midst of the slide they're in, they've turned to Ware for big minutes in three of four. He's played 33+ minutes and posted 37+ DKP in three of four games.
