NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Saturday Playbook

Published: Nov 23, 2024
We have a six-game main slate for NBA DFS on this fine Saturday. Superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic are on the second night of a back-to-back after both of them smashed with 30+-point triple-doubles last night. Throw in the two Lakers superstars, Anthony Davis and LeBron James, plus Victor Wembanyama expecting to make his return after a three-game absence, and we are certainly not lacking for star power on this slate.
Value may be a bit tougher to come by at first glance, but we'll see what the news cycle provides for us as we approach roster lock. Cade Cunningham is the most notable name that has been ruled out thus far.
Let’s dive into some of the top plays on DraftKings and FanDuel for Saturday, November 23rd.

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
PG | LaMelo Ball | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 9600 | 53.5 | 9600 | 51.4 |
Coming off a 59 DK FP performance despite playing only 32 minutes due to first-half foul trouble last night. High usage teammates Miles Bridges and Tre Mann are out tonight. LaMelo has posted an obscene usage rate north of 47% with those two off the floor this season. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PG | Damian Lillard | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 9100 | 43.1 | 8600 | 41.3 |
Dame has not quite yet found the chemistry playing alongside Giannis, but we know the ceiling is massive. He can put together a scorching shooting night like few in the league can, and for that reason he should usually be on your GPP list. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
PG | Fred VanVleet | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 7300 | 38.1 | 7900 | 37.6 |
FVV played just 27 minutes last night thanks to a 116-88 blowout of Portland. He had averaged over 44 DK FP in the five games prior to that. If Portland can put forth a better effort this evening, FVV is in a great spot. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
PG | Jaden Ivey | DET @ ORL Sat 7:00 | 6700 | 36.7 | 6600 | 35.6 |
Star teammate Cade Cunningham is out tonight. Ivey has seen a big bump in his usage rate and assist rate with Cade off the floor this season and last season. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
PG | Jalen Suggs | DET @ ORL Sat 7:00 | 6600 | 35 | 6900 | 34.7 |
The breakout many have been expecting from Suggs since Paolo Banchero was sidelined finally came in his last game against the Lakers. It remains to be seen if he can find any consistency, but at least we know the ceiling is there. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
PG | Josh Giddey | MEM @ CHI Sat 8:00 | 6400 | 33.4 | 6400 | 32.8 |
Giddey can fill up a stat sheet, but the minutes have been inconsistent thanks to his shortcomings as a defender. Not many players in his price range have legitimate triple-double upside. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SG | Zach LaVine | 7900 | 0 | 7600 | 0 | |
There should be some extra possessions available in this matchup of two of the NBA's three fastest teams. LaVine is shooting a career-best 52.1% from the floor this season. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SG | Brandon Miller | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 7200 | 39.5 | 7300 | 38.3 |
Miller was incredible last night with 38 points in the Hornets OT win against the Pistons. He has hoisted at least 15 field goal attempts in each of his last eight games and there should be even more available with Bridges and Mann sidelined. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SG | Desmond Bane | MEM @ CHI Sat 8:00 | 7100 | 38.7 | 7400 | 37.1 |
Bane will be relied upon to do more heavy lifting on the offensive end again if Ja Morant (D) is unable to suit up. His matchup against the Bulls elite, as they rank 1st in Pace and 25th DefRtg. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SG | Jalen Green | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 6600 | 32.9 | 6500 | 31.4 |
I love targeting streaky shooters in GPPs, and Green certainly fits that mold. He gets a solid matchup against a poor Portland defense. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SG | Stephon Castle | GSW @ SAS Sat 8:30 | 5300 | 23 | 5500 | 22.5 |
Castle has seen an uptick in minutes since being inserted into the starting lineup, averaging over 30 minutes per game in his nine starts. He remains underpriced for his new role. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SG | Malik Beasley | DET @ ORL Sat 7:00 | 5200 | 26.3 | 5100 | 24.8 |
Beasley owns a usage rate north of 24% with Cade Cunningham off the floor this season. The matchup is not ideal, but there should be some extra shots available to him. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SG | Ayo Dosunmu | MEM @ CHI Sat 8:00 | 5000 | 29 | 5600 | 28.7 |
Love the game environment here between two of the fastest paced teams. Dosunmu made his 4th start of the season last game and played over 38 minutes. Significant upside if he starts again. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SF | Franz Wagner | DET @ ORL Sat 7:00 | 9300 | 48.9 | 9400 | 48 |
Franz has been nothing short of incredible since Paolo Banchero went down. He flashed a 70 FP ceiling last time out against the Lakers. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SF | Tari Eason | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 5800 | 27.3 | 6400 | 28.5 |
Eason is a high-energy player who can put up FP in a hurry. He has posted three straight games of at least 40 FD FP despite averaging less than 25 minutes per game. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SF | Dalton Knecht | DEN @ LAL Sat 10:30 | 5400 | 24.9 | 6100 | 24.4 |
Knecht burst onto the scene with back-to-back ceiling games recently. He came back to earth in a tough matchup against Orlando last game, but the ceiling should not be ignored in large-field GPPs. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SF | Amen Thompson | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 5000 | 26.6 | 6000 | 27.6 |
Was excellent in this same matchup last night. Can he do it again? Game Type: GPP | ||||||
SF | Cody Martin | 3900 | 0 | 4800 | 0 | |
Viable salary savers so far are scarce on this slate. Martin has a path to 30+ minutes with Tre Mann and Miles Bridges out. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
SF | Dillon Brooks | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 3700 | 23.1 | 4500 | 22.2 |
Another salary saver who should see significant minutes. I wouldn't expect a 10-15 shooting performance again, but he does have other paths to exceed value. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Giannis Antetokounmpo | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 12300 | 59.7 | 12000 | 57.9 |
Averaging a league-best 32.4 points per game and putting together another MVP-caliber season. Good matchup against Charlotte. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | LeBron James | DEN @ LAL Sat 10:30 | 10200 | 51.6 | 10000 | 50.3 |
Aging like a fine wine. Just shy of his 40th birthday and still playing at an elite level. Denver is playing faster this season and is just average on defense. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Jaren Jackson | MEM @ CHI Sat 8:00 | 7800 | 38.3 | 8100 | 38.6 |
JJJ has a usage rate over 31% with Ja Morant off the floor this season. Couple that with his elite stocks production and you get a huge ceiling. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Tobias Harris | DET @ ORL Sat 7:00 | 6400 | 34.1 | 6800 | 34.1 |
Tobias Harris has seen a usage increase of nearly 5% with Cade Cunningham off the floor this season. He gets a difficult matchup but could see a nice uptick in production. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
PF | Grant Williams | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 5000 | 25.5 | 5600 | 24.7 |
Charlotte is running extremely thin on big bodies with Miles Bridges now joining their top two centers on the sidelines. Grant Williams should see mid-30s minutes in this contest. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Jake LaRavia | 4700 | 0 | 5000 | 0 | |
Salary saver with a path to mid-20s minutes. He will give you some peripheral stats even if the usage leaves a lot to be desired. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Jabari Smith | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 4500 | 24.6 | 5300 | 24.2 |
It has been a horrendous season thus far for the former number three overall pick. The price has fallen to a level where he doesn't need to do a ton to exceed value. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
C | Nikola Jokić | DEN @ LAL Sat 10:30 | 12200 | 63.3 | 12400 | 61.4 |
Playing like a man on a mission to win his 4th MVP award. Elite matchup against the Lakers 26th ranked defense. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
PF | Anthony Davis | 11100 | 0 | 11400 | 0 | |
2nd in the NBA in scoring as he appears to have taken the lead role in the offense with LeBron playing as more of a distributor. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
C | Victor Wembanyama | GSW @ SAS Sat 8:30 | 11000 | 50 | 11300 | 50.9 |
Minutes could be in question after a three-game absence, but the ceiling is elite if he gets full run. GPP only due to playing time questions. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
C | Alperen Şengün | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 8900 | 45.2 | 8900 | 45.1 |
Excellent ceiling in a plus matchup if Portland can keep up. Averaging an elite 1.51 DK FP/minute. Ayton doubtful on the other side. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
C | Nikola Vučević | MEM @ CHI Sat 8:00 | 8300 | 40.1 | 8000 | 38.2 |
Elite game environment and a fair price tag for a consistent producer. Game Type: CASH & GPP | ||||||
C | Donovan Clingan | POR @ HOU Sat 8:00 | 4700 | 27.6 | 5200 | 29 |
Ayton out again. Foul trouble has been a concern for the rookie big man. Huge upside if he can keep his hands to himself. Game Type: GPP | ||||||
C | Moussa Diabaté | CHA @ MIL Sat 8:00 | 4400 | 24 | 5200 | 26 |
Assuming he draws the start again, Diabate is underpriced on DK for his role. He has posted an elite 25.2% rebound rate and has a path to 30+ minutes for the shorthanded Hornets. Tougher price on FD but still very much GPP viable. Game Type: CASH & GPP |
LaMelo Ball, PG | 9600 , 53.5 | 53.5 | 9600 , 51.4 | 51.4 | ||
