Francisco Lindor MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

The Mets shortstop has been absolutely on-fire lately and we’re going to ride this wave until it breaks. Lindor has hit safely in six of his last seven games with five multi-hit performances, three home runs and six RBI in that span. Washington righthander Trevor Williams has looked solid in each of his last two outings, but his 1.58 WHIP is still too high for comfort’s sake and Lindor has had success against him in the past. I also like the fact that we’re going to attack the total bases which are sitting at 1.5 while his HRR stat-line is at 2.5 as of Monday morning. One swing of the bat can lock this down for us, nice and early. 

 

 

Bryce Elder MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed

Overall, the Rockies lineup is pretty trashy, but Elder hasn’t exactly been a modicum of pitching excellence throughout his four starts this season. He’s pitching to a ridiculous amount of contact right now and while his ground ball rate hovers just under 57-percent, he’s giving up almost twice as many home runs per nine innings as he has in the past. He’s also walking more guys than he should and while some might believe that to be a stat waiting to be corrected, I see it as more runners on-base and more runs allowed.     

 

 

Marcell Ozuna MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Total Bases

Typically, I wait a game before investing in visiting hitters at Coors Field. There are times when an adjustment period is necessary. However, with the way Rockies righthander Ryan Feltner is throwing – his velocity is down by almost a full mph across the board and he’s allowing more home runs than usual – we’re going to invest in Ozuna. The Braves’ DH is coming off back-to-back multi-hit games with a double on Sunday and a home run the day before that. Similar to Lindor, his HRR stat-line is up at 2.5 as of Monday morning so we’ll just roll with the total bases for him today.
