Alec Bohm Sleeper Fantasy Pick: More Than 2+ Total Bases

The Phillies are in Coors Field this weekend and today’s matchup sees Bohm step into the box against southpaw Ty Blach. Bohm is having a breakout season for the Phillies, hitting .323 with an OPS of .898. 

He has also thrived against left-handed pitching this season, hitting .323 with a .392 wOBA, .194 ISO and a .516 slugging percentage. Let’s look for Bohm to use this split advantage to come through with at least two total bases for us today.

Edmundo Sosa Sleeper Fantasy Pick: More Than 1.5 Total Bases

Another Phillies target for us today is Edmundo Sosa, who has seen increased playing time with Trae Turner on the injured list. Sosa this season is another player that has hammered left-handed pitching, hitting .355 with a .491 wOBA, .355 ISO and .710 slugging percentage over 37 plate appearances. 

Sosa is coming off of a three-hit performance on Thursday and he had homered on Wednesday, giving us four total bases in each of those games. With the Coors Field bump and the matchup against the lefty, we are loving this spot for Sosa tonight.

 

 

 

Shohei Ohtani Sleeper Fantasy Pick: More Than 0.5 Home Runs

Yes, there is always a risk when taking a home run pick, but Ohtani is one of the best power hitters in baseball and today, he is playing in a ballpark that has the highest park factor for home runs according to StatCast data in The Great American Ballpark.

You’ll never see me miss an opportunity to play Luis Rengifo when a lefty is on the mound and that certainly won’t be changing today. The Angels infield has ELITE numbers against left-handed pitching, and this is not a small sample size of data either with Rengifo hammering southpaws over the last three seasons.
