Yordan Alvarez PrizePicks MLB Picks Today, 3/29: Free DFS Picks & Projections

It’s the first weekend of the 2025 MLB season which means a full-slate of game and a fantastic opportunity to play on PrizePicks and start winning some money playing MLB DFS Pick ‘Em contests.
It’s been a spectacular open to the regular season with all sorts of twists and turns through the first two days. We’ve seen bottom-feeders like the Chicago White Sox and Miami Marlins come out of the gate swinging, the Athletics, a team with no home, surprising their division rivals and a dramatic walk-off home run from Mookie Betts, the guy who lost 20 pounds due to illness. Today’s action should be just as exciting.

Yordan Alvarez MLB PrizePicks Fantasy Pick: More Than 0.5 Hits
It’s not a sexy play, given the talent levels of the lefty-swinging Alvarez and the shortcomings of righthander Griffin Canning, but it will do just fine for the sake of getting a win here and starting the day off right. He’s gone hitless through the first two games, but he’s struck out just once in eight plater appearances while also drawing three walks. He’s due? For sure.
- Pick: More Than 0.5 Hits
Zack Littell MLB PrizePicks Fantasy Pick: Less Than 5.5 Strikeouts
While the Colorado Rockies are a soft lineup and can strike out with the best of them, Littell is not a big strikeout pitcher and he doesn’t generate a lot of swings-and-misses. His K/9 has been between 7.0-8.0 for the most part over the last three seasons and given the command issues he was working through this spring, he may not last a full five innings. If he doesn’t, he just isn’t clearing this mark.
- Pick: Less Than 5.5 Strikeouts
Ian Happ MLB PrizePicks Fantasy Pick: Less than 6.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
If you look at the scoring for PrizePicks, to surpass 6.5 points, Happ needs at least one base-hit and if it’s not an extra-base hit, he’s going to need two legs of a run, and RBI, a walk or a HBP tacked on. He doesn’t need to be a world-beater to collect the necessary points, but given the fact that he’s never gotten a hit off Brandon Pfaadt in 11 at-bats and has the tendency to go through significant cold spells, we’re going to favor the pitching side of this match-up and go against Happ for fantasy points.
- Pick: Less than 6.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
