Kutter Crawford PrizePicks MLB Pick: More Than 31.0 Fantasy Points

Crawford has been one of the bigger surprises in the MLB this season as he and Tanner Houck have anchored a strong Red Sox starting rotation through the first half of the year with the righty posting a 3.24 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP over his 18 starts.

What we love about Crawford is his ability to pitch deep into games and that doesn't always mean high pitch counts either as he is unbelievable efficient.

In his last start against the Yankees he tossed seven shutout innings while only needing 68 pitches. The start before that he tossed six innings against the Marlins while only throwing 72 pitches. It's not that he can't throw more, it's just that the team is willing to save his arm. That said, of his 18 starts, he has pitched six or more innings in 13 of those outings.

Why is this important? Well, because if you throw six innings it puts you in line for the quality start bonus points and those points can be the difference between finishing with more or less fantasy points than your projection.

Crawford has finished with more than 31 fantasy points in five straight outings and I'd be willing to project he makes it six straight here today.

George Kirby PrizePicks MLB Pick: More Than 33.5 Fantasy Points

It has been a pretty good season for Kirby this year and a deeper look into his game logs will show that he's actually probably been even better than his overall numbers due to a few bad outlier performances.

In his  final start before the All-Star break he draws a favorable matchup against the Mariners divisional opponent Los Angeles Angels. 

Much like the pick above, what we like about Kirby is his ability to lock in the quality start points as he has 12 quality starts on the year out of his 19 appearances which includes quality starts in seven of his last eight outings.

Knowing there is even some strikeout upside in this matchup against the Angels and with Seattle sitting as a road favorite, I'm liking our odds here today.
