While we don’t have any of the big hitter’s parks like Sutter Health or Coors on the slate, we have plenty of favorable match-ups that will lead us to some nice offensive stats. Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis against the Phillies is definitely someplace we want to look. Same with Pirates starter Mike Burrows throwing in Wrigley today. But we also have some strong pitchers on the mound like Hunter Brown and Jacob deGrom, so let’s dive in and see what looks good!

Jack Flaherty Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 3.5 Strikeouts (1.10x)

ANCHOR PICK --  I love a good anchor pick on strikeouts and this matchup for Flaherty is definitely a positive one. If you go and check with the Vegas books, his line is at 6.5 and the line is -120 for that, so getting 3.5 to anchor our parlay here is even better. The Reds are striking out 23.3-percent of the time against right-handed pitching and Flaherty has never had fewer than four strikeouts in any start this season. Even the ones when he gets a little beaten up. Thanks for the free money, Chalkboard.

 

 

 

Bryson Stott Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 0.5 Total Bases (1.51x)

This one is all about Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis and the .425 wOBA lefthanded hitters are posting on him this season. Stott hit a little slump earlier this month and got dropped in the order but he’s hit safely in three of his last four games and appears to be getting back on-track. One hit? That’s all we’re looking for here is one hit? The Vegas books have this line set at -165, so while we’re pairing up picks for a parlay, this works beautifully.

 

 

 

Pete Crow-Armstrong Chalkboard Fantasy MLB Pick: More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (1.77x)

Pittsburgh righty Mike Burrows has looked pretty good over his last two starts, but I’m just not buying it as those outings came against a struggling Astros lineup and a terrible Miami team. He is flashing some reverse splits this season and looks okay against lefthanded hitters, but he definitely had issues against them in the minors and still has a .329 wOBA posted against him by lefties over 10.2 innings of big-league experience. Not a big sample size at all and we’re going to side with PCA, who is posting a .405 wOBA with a .308 ISO against righties this season.
