Dodgers vs. Yankees Prediction: Monday, October 28th; MLB World Series Game 3

After some early domination from the Dodgers to start this World Series matchup, we now move to the Big Apple for the next 3 games. These will be some big ones for the boys in pinstripes. It’s not technically the case in Game 3 with it not being an elimination game, but this is a must-win for the Yankees in my mind and probably theirs too. We have Walker Buehler on the mound against Clarke Schmidt, so let’s dive into that matchup and of course the lineups we expect to see. 

Walker Buehler has been the target of a lot of my bets throughout the season and they haven't been backing him, but rather targeting him to fail. He just doesn’t have it this season and while he may turn it around in the future, it's not going to be tonight with his 6.00 ERA in the postseason and 5.38 ERA in the regular season. He struggles against both lefties and righties too, although the lefties get a slight edge – hitting .296 this season and an OPS of .890. 

I expect the Yankees bats to wake up in a big way as they are one of baseball’s best offenses against a struggling pitcher. Give me the Yanks at home to go over their team total of 4.5 runs tonight.

Now that we have a team prop, let’s take a look at a hitter that will help New York get to that over tonight! Juan Soto must be the choice as he’s a lefty against Buehler and he’s had a fantastic postseason overall, hitting .350 over 40 at-bats with 4 home runs as well. He also draws so many walks so the wager tonight will be over his hits/runs/RBIs as he’s always on base and has the power to hit this prop with just one swing of the bat.
