Looking for the top MLB Best Bets and Props for today? We’ve got you covered here at Fantasy Alarm! We have another light Monday slate of MLB predictions as there are only seven games and the start time is 12:35 PM ET.

Some interesting pitchers on the mound like Chris Sale facing the Arizona Diamondbacks and Mitch Keller getting the nod against the New York Mets, but then we have a few tomato cans out there like Ryan Feltner facing the Cincinnati Reds in hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark. As always, we’ll dive into the latest Vegas odds and lines to see where we can get the best value.

MLB Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 7/8

The last two weeks have been fantastic as we dragged ourselves out of a deficit, got back to even and then soared last week to put us in a fantastic spot heading into the MLB All-Star break. Friday’s MLB predictions capped off a 12-plus unit week and here we stand ready to close out the first half in style.

Given the slate for Monday, we’re probably going to ease ourselves into the week unless I unearth some really strong value. Remember, we play the long game here. Slow and steady wins the race!

  • Friday’s Record: 5-3
  • Season Record: 309-261-6
  • Bankroll: +13.66 units

Rockies vs. Reds Prediction: Monday, July 8

While the Reds haven’t been lighting up the scoreboard lately, nothing cures what ails you like facing Ryan Feltner at home in a favorable hitting environment. Great American and Coors Field both play well for hitting but Cincinnati plays better for the long ball.

Feltner may have looked fine in his last two starts, but he’s been prone to the long ball at times and is still sitting with a 5.60 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. The big bats for the Reds need to be patient and pick it up as they head into the All-Star break, and this is the game to get them – and our MLB best bets – going.

Rangers vs. Angels Prediction: Monday, July 8

We’re going to dive into this Angels matchup very much in the same way as we are the Reds MLB picks up above. This is not a team that has been strong over the past week, having lost a solid bat in Luis Rengifo, but they are expected to get Anthony Rendon back today.

Love him or hate him, the guy can hit when he’s healthy. We’ll check the lineup and potential line movement to see where we’re at, but I’ve got confidence in this group against Jon Gray. Gray has allowed 11 earned runs over his last two starts (nine innings), including three home runs.

He’s also seen his strikeout rate vanish over his last eight outings. And to cook him even more on the whiffs, the Angels, while maybe not putting good wood on the ball, are still only striking out about 17-percent of the time over the past week. That trend is expected to continue.
