Vitality (World rank: #1) vs. Astralis (World rank: #16) - 10:30 A.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: Vitality (-385) | Astralis (+305)
Map Handicap: Vitality -1.5 (-120) | Astralis +1.5 (Even)
This is an online best-of-three series for the semi-finals of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe
Vitality - Rating at event: Magisk 1.61 | ZywOo 1.21 | dupreeh 1.20 | SpInx 0.88 | apEX 0.86
Vitality - Rating past three months: ZywOo 1.36 | Magisk 1.10 | Spinx 1.08 | dupreeh 0.98 | apEX 0.93
Astralis - Rating at event: blameF 1.36 | Xyp9x 1.15 | gla1ve 0.96 | MistR 0.93 | Farlig 0.85
Astralis - Rating past three months: blameF 1.19 | Farlig 1.00 | Xyp9x 0.98 | gla1ve 0.98 | MistR 0.94
H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other. The teams played in August, prior to MistR joining Astralis, and Astralis won 19-17 in a best-of-one on Mirage. Farlig led the server with 29 kills and a 1.36 Rating.
Prediction: Vitality wins 2-0.
With MistR in the lineup, Astralis are not exactly the scariest team out there right now, and I don’t see them being able to take down the number one ranked team at the moment. Astralis have a 3-5 W/L record across eight maps played, and they struggled to beat Eternal Fire to advance to this spot in the semi-finals. As for Vitality, they played a close series against TYLOO, perhaps too close for comfort, but TYLOO are always unpredictable and they seem to find ways to win rounds against European opponents. Vitality have a 29-14 W/L record across 43 maps played since adding Spinx, and they have won 12 of their last 14 series played. Astralis would need miracle performances from players other than blameF to be able to hang with Vitality, and I just don’t see that happening considering blameF is the only member of Astralis with a Rating above one in the past three months. Vitality have a strong map pool and they are the much better team, so I expect them to sweep here.
- Magisk leads Vitality at this event with 0.17 opening kills per round, while apEX leads with 25.9% opening duel attempts.

H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction: Fluxo wins 2-1.
This match is a pure coinflip to me, so on Draftkings I’d prefer to take the discount on Fluxo. The Brazilians have been playing well with a 47-21 W/L record across 68 maps played, and in the past week they beat TeamOne in a best-of-three, and played two overtime maps against Outsiders. Fluxo have dominated the region and they are legit. With that being said, Evil Geniuses are starting to find good form after qualifying for the IEM Rio Major 2022 earlier in the month. Evil Geniuses have a 14-11 W/L record including some results against respectable opponents, but I’m still not sure that they should be heavy favorites against a talented Fluxo lineup. This EG lineup is still fairly new, and they have had their success mainly on LAN rather than online, so it would not surprise me to see them caught off guard by a fiery Brazilian team. Evil Geniuses have their lowest win rate on Dust2 with a 1-3 W/L record, while Fluxo have a 14-5 W/L record on it and it’s their most played map. We can expect to see Fluxo ban Overpass, which would take away EG’s most played map, meanwhile EG should ban Vertigo, so the map pool looks wide open for the underdog. This match-up could go either way, but Fluxo is my favorite team to stack on Draftkings given the pricing.
- Lucaozy leads Fluxo with a 1.25 K/D ratio across 68 maps played.
- felps leads with 0.14 opening kills per round and 27.5% opening duel attempts during that time.

00NATION (World rank: #25) vs. VERTEX (World rank: #77) - 4:30 P.M. ET
Moneyline Odds: 00NATION (-530) | VERTEX (+385)
Map Handicap: 00NATION -1.5 (-150) | VERTEX +1.5 (+125)
This is an online best-of-three series for the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 North America
00NATION - Rating at event: N/A
00NATION - Rating past three months: try 1.14 | dumau 1.13 | latto 1.13 | coldzera 1.04 | TACO 0.95
VERTEX - Rating at event: N/A
VERTEX - Rating past three months: pz 1.24 | ADDICT 1.20 | malta 1.17 | BRACE 1.07 | Forleks 1.06
H2H Data:
These rosters have never faced each other.
Prediction: 00NATION wins 2-1.
00NATION have a 17-14 W/L record across 31 maps played, and they are finding good form ahead of the upcoming IEM Rio Major, qualifying for a spot in the Challengers stage. 00NATION have taken down Complexity, Imperial, and Isurus in the month of October, so they have proven themselves against some of the top teams in the region. The bigger question here is what can we expect from VERTEX? This lineup has an 11-1 W/L record across 12 maps played, but they have been playing against the weak Oceanic region. The oddsmakers aren’t giving them much of a chance in this spot, but it has to mean something that they have had nothing but success so far. I have to predict 00NATION to win here based on talent, but it would not surprise me to see VERTEX scrape out a few rounds and make this more interesting than it needs to be. VERTEX are playing good Counter-Strike, that's the bottom line, so maybe they make this a series. 00NATION should still be the clear favorites, but with $10K up top on Draftkings, I’d at least consider having exposure to a team that has an 11-1 W/L record.
- try leads 00NATION with a 1.19 K/D ratio across 31 maps played.
- dumau leads with 0.13 opening kills per round, while latto leads with 20.7% opening duel attempts during that time.
