Davis Riley caught fire in the afternoon during round one of the Memorial Tournament, styling a 5-under 67 to claim the first-round lead for the second straight year at Muirfield Village. 

Davis Riley broke his maiden last week at the Zurich Classic and he'll take a week to rest, withdrawing from the field ahead of this week's Mexico Open at Vidanta.

Davis Riley and Nick Hardy cruised to a bogey-free, 7-under 65 on Sunday at the Zurich Classic, reaching 30-under 258 to secure a two-shot win at the team event, the first PGA TOUR win for both of them.

Davis Riley matched the low round of the day with a 6-under 66, reaching 6-under 282 to share a slice of eighth place in his second try at Bay Hill Club and Lodge.
