Defending champ Sam Burns closed his week with a 2-under 68 to reach 5-under 275 which was good for a T6 finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Sam Burns didn't have his best stuff in round one of the Charles Schwab Challenge but still managed to piece together a 3-under 67, good for a share of third place at the end of wave one.

Sam Burns missed the cut last week but is optimistic about a rebound this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge where he'll play the role of defending champion.

Sam Burns tossed together a 4-under 68 in round one of the Masters, giving him an early share of sixth place.
