Troy Merritt tossed together a bogey-free, 6-under 65 in round one of the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, putting him in a tie for seventh place with three rounds remaining.

From the late wave and beginning on 10 tee, World No. 108 Troy Merritt authored a bogey-free 4-under 35-33=68 in R1 of the Rocket Mortgage Classic to sit T22, four adrift of co-leaders and AM-wavers Tony Finau and Taylor Pendrith.

Out of the fourth-to-last threesome, World No. 98 Troy Merritt putted his way to a 3-under 34-35=69 in R4 of the Valero Texas Open to conclude on 10-under 278, up three spots to a season-tying-best T4.
