Joel Dahmen was locked in with his irons in round one of the RBC Heritage, styling a bogey-free, 5-under 66 to find himself just two shots off the early pace set by Viktor Hovland.

Joel Dahmen removed his name from the field ahead of this week's American Express at PGA WEST. He'll be replaced by the next alternate, Hank Lebioda.

Joel Dahmen closed out The RSM Classic with a seven-birdie 64 to reach 15-under 267 and secure a share of fifth place.
