Brendan Steele removed his name from the field prior to the start of this week's Genesis Invitational.

Brendan Steele signed a 2-under 70 in round two of the Farmers Insurance Open, reaching 9-under 135 at the halfway mark to find himself in solo second with two days remaining. 

Brendan Steele styled a bogey-free, 7-under 65 during round one of the Farmers Insurance Open, placing him just one shot off the trio of co-leaders at the top of the board.

On a day that yielded plenty of low scores at the Zozo Championship, first-round leader Brendan Steele went in the wrong direction.
