J.J. Spaun removed his name from the field prior to the start of this week's AT&T Byron Nelson. Taking his place will be the next alternate, Richard S. Johnson.

Defending champ J.J. Spaun makes his way back to TPC San Antonio for this week's Valero Texas Open, his first opportunity to defend a title on the PGA TOUR.

Making his first start at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, J.J. Spaun scribbled a 5-and-3 win over 11-seed Matt Fitzpatrick.

J.J. Spaun capped off his week at the Sentry Tournament of Champions with a 4-under 69, his fourth sub-70 round of the week to post a T5 finish when all was said and done (22-under 270).
