Eddie Lack

Eddie Lack has announced his retirement from professional hockey.

Lack recently underwent successful hip surgery and will be out for the remainder of 2018-19.

Lack was placed on waivers by the Devils on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Lack was reassigned to AHL Binghamton on Monday for a conditioning stint.
