2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: What is there to say about Ohtani that hasn't already been said? Last year, he hit .304 with 44 home runs and 20 stolen bases, and over the last three seasons, he's posted a .379 OBP and .585 SLG. He's a five-category producer playing with the best supporting cast of his career.
2024 Outlook: Ohtani's counting stats will greatly benefit from having guys like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman around him, and I don't expect his recovery from his elbow surgery to take away much of his offensive game. The only downside to Ohtani is that he clogs up your UT spot, minimizing flexibility when setting your lineup. However, if there's any player that you want clogging up that spot, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone better than Ohtani. Even if his batting average drops to closer to .280, his immense raw power is no match for Dodger Stadium, and another 40+ home run season is easily in play. I'm getting vibes of his 2021 season, but with a slightly higher batting average. He's a surefire first round draft pick in fantasy baseball.
