With Xander Bogaerts shifting back to shortstop full-time for the 2025 season, Padres’ manager Mike Shildt confirmed that Jake Cronenworth would be the club’s starting second baseman.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported that the Padres are “willing to consider creative deals” such as trading Luis Arraez or Jake Cronenworth.
Jake Cronenworth had a two-run homer and an RBI double to drive in three of the Padres’ four runs in Tuesday’s win over the Dodgers.
