Nationals placed RHP Mason Thompson on the 60-day injured list following elbow surgery.

Nationals’ manager Dave Martinez told reporters on Friday that Mason Thompson (elbow) has yet to throw off of a mound as he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery.

Nationals and RHP Mason Thompson avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract.
