2025 Player Outlook

Larnach swatted 15 home runs with a .259 average and .772 OPS in 112 games last season, and his xSLG and average exit velocity were in the 80th and 90th percentile respectively. He only had 23 plate appearances against lefties last season, so it won't be much of a surprise when he will sit against southpaws again in 2025. He'll be a platoon guy, but he'll be on the larger side of it, and likely hit right in the heart of the order against right-handed pitching. He makes a lot of hard contact, and he posted career bests in zone contact rate and whiff rate last season. There's 20+ homer potential with Larnach, but to do that, he simply cannot replicate last year's 26.9 percent fly ball rate (36+ percent in '22 and '23). Again, he's a platoon player, but he has enough pop and excellence against RHP to project 18-22 home runs in 2025.
