2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Myles Straw probably will be the starter on Opening Day for the Guardians, but it is the same old narrative- he is a Gold Glove-caliber defender at center field, but his offense production has just been poor. Straw had a slash line of .238/.301/.297 with a .598 OPS in 2023 and his offensive numbers over the last two years have not been anywhere near what Cleveland brass or fans expect.
2024 Outlook: There’s no doubt that what Straw can do in the field and on the bases can really change a game but even if he figures it out and can hit consistently, this is a player who has hit exactly one home run in the last two seasons. Defense does not win fantasy baseball championships, so Myles Straw is best left alone come draft time.
