2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: It’s not been a good time in Miami since signing there prior to the 2022 season. If you thought 2022 was bad, I’ve got some bad news for you. Garcia played just 37 games last year and wasn’t good from the plate either with a .185/.241/.315 slash line with three HR, 12 RBI, eight R, and two steals. The strikeout rate was a career-high 33.1-percent to add to his woes.
2024 Outlook: There were signs of hope though that could show up again if, and it’s a big if, he can stay healthy. The BABIP was .258 while his Brl% was 11.3-percent. The hope is that him playing DH will keep him in the lineup more often and thus allow his bat to have a turnaround in 2024. If everything clicks, he could be an OF5 option as a flier.
