I hope you have been enjoying the WNBA DFS Playbook this season, and I hope the Playbook paid off for you the way it did for me on Thursday. Even with Candace Parker failing to score a single point for the first time in her career, we were carried to a first-place tournament finish thanks to huge games from Skylar Diggins-Smith, Arike Ogunbowale, and Sylvia Fowles. Olivia Nelson-Ododa didn’t do much even with Nneka Ogwumike out but she and Chiney Ogwumike allowed us to pay up at the other positions. That could be a good lesson going forward, especially on DraftKings. A punt play can be worth it even if they don’t produce much, so long as the studs you pay up for return value.

Sunday’s slate has the potential to be even more interesting than Thursday’s. Jonquel Jones will miss her first game of the season due to health and safety protocols, while Rhyne Howard, Diamond DeShields, and Monique Billings have all been ruled out due to injuries. One game to keep an eye on is Minnesota vs. Washington. I am reluctant to play the Lynx considering their travel woes and the matchup, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see some bench players get extended run and produce for fantasy. Also, keep an eye on if Elena Delle Donne plays a third straight game. She has been great of late, but I usually prefer to play her after one of her regular scheduled rest days.

Sophie CunninghamPHOATL850022.53###21.92
Her 61.75 fantasy points against New York 10 days ago is obviously an aberration, but it is nice to know she has that ability if she gets how. Perhaps more importantly, she has at least 23 fantasy points in seven consecutive games. Shey Peddy is a fine alternative if you need to save a little cash but I would try to pay up for Cunningham, especially considering how thin Atlanta is in the frontcourt.
Asia (AD) DurrATLPHO570011.15###10.89
Durr got her first start of the season Friday and finished with 20.25 fantasy points in 25 minutes. With Rhyne Howard out, I think that is about Durr's floor. Durr was great after getting traded to Atlanta before Erica Wheeler returned to the lineup, and with Howard's injury, Durr has a chance to top 30 fantays points at a discount price.
Ariel AtkinsWASMIN820025.88###25.35
Atkins has not been nearly as consistent as Natasha Cloud, but Atkins is much cheaper, especially on FanDuel. Atkins is averaging 29.1 fantasy points in two games agianst Minnesota despite shooting 2-9 on threes in those games. Minnesota has allowed the most fantasy points in the league to opposing guards and Atkins is averaging 4.2 more fantasy points at home than on the road this season.
Jackie YoungLVCON870031.67###31.81
It is difficult to evaluate Las Vegas considering they have only played New York and Minnesota this month. Jackie Young struggled against Minnesota but she averaged 33.9 fantasy points in the last three games (all against the Liberty) and she averaged 35.8 fantasy points in two games against Connecticut.
Gabby WilliamsSEAIND690020.24###21.06
Williams is a forward on DK, which complicates things a bit, but she looks like a nice value on both sites. Williams has at least 20 fantasy points in four of her last five games, including both games against Indiana. She may not have a high ceiling but she looks like a great value.

Kelsey PlumLVCON####34.95###32.86
I can't imagine paying up for Kelsey Plum on DK but I have no idea why she is even $100 cheaper than Jackie Young on FD. Plum has outscored Young for fantasy all season, including in July and in two games against Connecticut. Young has been (barely) better than Plum the last three games but not enough to make me prefer her. Both players should be able to take advantage of Jonquel Jones's absence.
Skylar Diggins-SmithPHOATL####38.21###38.52
You could make an argument that there are better values at the top of the guard list, but none of them can match Diggins-Smith's consistency. She has at least 35 fantasy points in six consecutive games and 12 of her last 14. She hasn't been great against Atlanta this season but I'm not worried about that, especially with Rhyne Howard out. On DK, where
Tiffany MitchellINDSEA58009.63###9.75
I have been a noted Mitchell skeptic but she has played at least 22 minutes in three consecutive games, with 20+ fantasy points in two of those. She struggled in both games agianst Seattle prior to that but she is worth a shot at her price, and her ownership should be much lower than Asia Durr's.

Naz HillmonATLPHO540010.31###10.14
Hillmon played a season-high 30 minutes Friday after Monique Billings went down, finishing with 28.25 fantasy points. I would like her better if she starts but even off the bench, I think she is the best Atlanta forward for Sunday's slate.
Cheyenne ParkerATLPHO780025###25.52
It was dissapointing to see Cheyenne Parker play just 14 minutes Friday, even after Monique Billings suffered her ankle injury. That being said, Phoenix is ninth in fantasy points allowed to forwards and Parker is avveraging 38.6 fantasy points in 25.4 minutes in two games against the Mercury. This is Parker's cheapest price in over two months and she has at least 26 fantasy points in three of her last five games. Parker is a better tournament play but she looks a nice value on both sites.
Ezi MagbegorSEAIND950029.08###31.20
Magbegor has scored 32 fantasy points in three straight games, including one against Indiana. She may not have a huge ceiling but it is difficult to find that kind of floor at her price.
Brionna JonesCONLV800024.43###25.29
Jones will almost certainly start for Jonquel Jones, who is in health and safety protocols. In three starts this season, Jones is averaging 27.3 fantasy points in 32.4 minutes. Vegas is ninth in fantasy points allowed to forwards this season.
Joyner HolmesCONLV42004.9###4.93
I am definitely nervous about a forward whose only good games this season were against Indiana and Atlanta, but Las Vegas has been surprisingly bad against opposing forwards. More importantly, Holmes is Connecticut's only backup big with Brionna Jones sliding to the starting lineup. Connecticut could elect to move DeWanna Bonner to the four and mostly roll with three-guard lineups, which is why Holmes is not a slam dunk. But Holmes scored 16.75 fantasy points in 16 minutes Friday and I am willing to chase that production at her price.

Alyssa ThomasCONLV####33.19###32.66
I don't want to just assume that Thomas will get a ton of rebounds and shots with Jonquel Jones out, but it is certainly possible. Perhaps more importantly, Thomas is averaging 35.1 minutes and 41.1 fantasy points in two games agianst Las Vegas, and I am confident she will at least get close to those numbers with Jones out and little frontcourt depth behind them. Thomas looks like hte safest of the elite forwards and her upside should be as high as anyone's as well.
