WNBA DFS Playbook August 13: Top DraftKings & FanDuel WNBA DFS Picks
I feel like it has been a long time since we had a WNBA DFS slate that had such a disparity between guards and forwards. I feel like there are guards you can feel reasonably good about playing at every price range, while the forwards are decidedly top-heavy. While Sunday’s WNBA DFS Playbook of course features players at both positions and all price points, I have found myself mostly going cheap at guard and paying up for forwards. I don’t usually like to approach WNBA DFS slates this way but after considering pricing, matchups and injury news, that looks like our best bet for success.

| Sykes has averaged 28.7 fantasy points in three games against Chicago, and she has been even better than that with Elena Delle Donne out. Delle Donne and Natasha Cloud are both questionable but so long as one of them is out, Sykes should be safe. | ||||||

| Young is the only Aces guard who hasn't struggled in this matchup, averaging 35.8 fantasy points in two games. She is also the cheapest of the three guards. | ||||||

| Bell has quietly scored at least 16 fantasy points in three of her last four games, including against Atlanta two weeks ago. It helps that she has been better at home this season as well. | ||||||

| In six starts this season, Horston is averaging 28.0 minutes and 24.5 fantasy points, which is exactly what she had against the Dream on Thursday. Seattle has not had a consistent rotation outside of Jewell Loyd but with Gabby Williams out and Horston playing well, she should be safe to start again and play pretty heavy minutes. | ||||||

| We are probably buying high on Whitcomb, but I'm not sure that's a bad thing. She is averaging 28.8 FPPG in 25.1 minutes in three games against Phoenix. More importantly, she has scored at least 26 fantasy points in six of her last seven games, averaging 30.9 mpg in those games. | ||||||

| I might pivot to Myisha Hines-Allen if Elena Delle Donne is out but even if that is the case, Alanna Smith is the cheapest forward that I am close to trusting. Smith has averaged 24.6 fppg over her last four games. | ||||||
