UFC 308 Predictions & Picks: Saturday, October 26th

Topuria vs. Holloway Best Bet: Over 3.5 Rounds -120

This is a really tough fight, and while I respect Topuria’s power a ton, I’m not betting against Max Holloway’s ability to survive. 

Max has been able to go 25 minutes multiple times at both 145 lbs and 155 lbs against the best fighters in the world, so I expect him to at least be able to make it 17.5 minutes in this spot. Max isn’t someone who can put away an opponent early so even if there is a stoppage from Max, I expect it to be late.

Magomedov vs. Petrosyan Prediction: Armen ML +145

Armen is a good striker and although he takes on a tough opponent in Shara Magomedov, he isn’t someone that can end the fight with one punch. 

Petrosyan turns all of his opponents into wrestlers, and that isn’t something we have seen from Shara so if this is just a striking battle, I expect it to be close, but Armen should be able to get it done.

 

 

 

Naurdiev vs. Silva Picks: Bruno ML +145

Silva is another fighter who is a small dog that I really like. Silva can mix in some wrestling with his striking, but in this matchup his biggest tool is going to be his cardio and chin. If Silva survives into the second round, he should be able to turn up the heat on Naurdiev. 

This is a spot that I’m contemplating betting live or waiting until the fight starts and live betting it if Naurdiev jumps to an even bigger favorite.

UFC 308 Longshot Bet: Ibo Aslan R2 +750

Aslan is facing an opponent who doesn’t have much experience out of the first round and looks to be a defensive liability in a lot of striking exchanges. 

I don’t think Ibo is going to be able to end this in the first round as I expect the fight to be close, but once his opponent starts to slow, he should be able to find the finish.
